I wimp out of cutting nails and ask Aunty Lilli (Boarder) to do it when my girlies are on holiday with her. Thea's nails are all twisted where she is 8 now and the Misty and Bramble scream the place down and/or move their feet just as I'm cutting their nails and/or attack my hand with their teeth. They behave themselves with Aunty Lilli - allegedly.
 
I'm going to take them to the pet store, they charge 15 per pig.

So far they've had vet appointments this year and were pretty well behaved but they would be really naughty for me because they know me.
 
My hands are often dodgy now but hubby is feeling very proud as he was able to do both nail trims as long as I hold the boys. I preferred doing it solo because when he held them for me he got nervous. Obviously the boys reacted which made it hard for me.
 
Stella is only very slightly heavier than her lookylikey Thea. Thea weighed in this morning at a dinky 870g. As you know Thea has reached the grand old age of 8 years and 1 month. She has age related weight loss, has almost no muscle on her bum but still wants to chat in the morning and still tells Misty and Bramble off if they p*ss her off! Happy 7th Birthday Clover! ❤️

Clover is such a sweetheart, both to humans and other piggies. She is endlessly patient, though Stella and Sunny are a handful!
I’m very happy to say that as of right now, she has never had any major health issues. She just needs a quick bum bath from time to time. Plus, she still begs for food with her front paws up on the side of the grids :wub:

So we’ve finally had a day that wasn’t scorching hot - the guinea pigs got to go and have outdoor grass time :D
I grow my own wheatgrass because I don’t really trust the grass in my yard - we live near a forest and there are a lot of animals that pass through.
