Bamboo?

Hi! I was just wondering if my guinea pig can eat bamboo. I have recently acquired some shoots and I have no clue what to do with them! I know new shoots are toxic but what about older ones and how do I know how old a bamboo shoot is? Thanks in advance,

I personally don't like giving any veg/fruit I have any doubt on. I personally wouldn't risk it because there isn't a definite yes.

I feed mine bamboo on occasion and have for years. Never been a problem here from it
