Hi,
I am about to buy two new guinea pigs as the ones i had before have both now died. We have just had a garage built for our house and i was considering moving a hutch into the "open bay", as in, without a door. Is this sensible? Also, would i need to buy a cover for the hutch as they are outside, they are still quite sheltered.
Many thanks,
Anon.

Hello, welcome to the forum!

So you have part of a garage with a open back is that correct? And you are thinking of popping the hutch there?

You would still need a hutch cover in the winter yes.

Have a flick though this search for lots of helpful hutch advice Search Results for Query: hutch | The Guinea Pig Forum

Ah, well it will help with shelter for sure, but yes a hutch cover would be needed. Can you bring them inside garage in the winter also? Are you UK based?
