Bit of tension from Bramble towards Saxon who is only trying to make friends. I had to flap a tea towel between them to diffuse the tension as it all got a bit heated. When Bramble is under the hay she lets Saxon eat the hay near her now which she wouldn't before. It's just when he gets too close to her and she can see him that she's not happy. He has done some loud wheaking but not submission wheaking yet.

I've popped them in the hutch for tonight. Tension between Bramble and Saxon is a lot less so I think it'll settle down soon.

Just caught with this thread. So glad that Saxon is home where he belongs.

He is a beauty. Hope they all get on really well from now on.

They survived their first night together and all was calm in the hutch when I lifted the duvet off the front of the hutch this morning. More hay went in, rewarmed 3 snugglesafes and gave them all cuddles, combs (Misty and Bramble), weigh-ins (Saxon he's 1020g) and coriander. Saxon had a super quick cuddle as he's scared but needs to get used to the morning routine.

Bramble let me do it although she wasn't very happy about it! I thought that it couldn't really wait for tomorrow and the vets to be open.

I handle my guinea pigs every day and they know they can trust me. I thought she'd rather me do it than a vet.

They are settling in nicely. Saxon has performed his boarly duty so is a happy chappy now! So the girls have definitely accepted him as their husboar.
