I have been with my new family now for 5 days. My new mom says I’m still super spooked of the everything and that I need to start eating more or else we’re going to have to have a talk. I don’t want to leave my hidey house for hay, don’t these humans know hay in the hideys is the best hay and those pellets she keeps offering are bleck . I don’t see her eating those nasty nuggets. I prefer my cucumbers and leafy greens like a true king piggy. The human says my new cage will be here Wednesday, so I’m excited to finally get the space I deserve!

You will soon get used to your new home and come out of hiding. Most Hoomans are really nice and friendly. I know it's scary being in a new place. Do you have a friend to play with? It's so much more fun with a friend!

I do not yet have a friend, my human keeps mentioning this dating thing. I don’t really want to share my cucumbers though so I’m not so sure about that yet.

I hope you share some pictures of your new cage when it arrives. I live in the top of my hutch with my husboar Dennis. It is nice and big at 6' x 2' and every other day we go in a nice big run that is 4' x 4'.

Thank you! This is the cage his previous owners have kept him in for the last year. It’s not even big enough for a hamster. I’m checking the mail like a crazy waiting for the new one lol

Mom says mine is not as fancy as your piggy palace but that it will be huge nonetheless! Something about combining 3 Midwest cages together because she wants me to get a piggy brother and pig dad hates c&c cages.

He will be absolutely fine till his new one arrives. Don't worry as its all hes known he will be ok.

I know he will be alright but my heart breaks every time I look over at him in this small cage. That he didn’t have even hay when I picked him up last week. Outside against the elements with no protection. I am one emotional piggy mom today! This morning he is out of his hidey house in the open happily munching hay so it’s great he is starting to warm up a tad!

Evening pictures! Tonight I took veggies from the humans hand. I’m starting to learn moms the food bringer and tend to pop my head out of my pigloo when I hear her talk! I’m an expert at getting in my pigloo upside down and human mom tells me what an awesome handsome boy I am, while giving me a chunk of cucumber! I think I could get used to it here!

We’ve managed to convince the man of the house to do a C&C cage (I may or may not have used the but it’s my birthday week card to sway the vote) I’ll get some pictures, for now we’ve upgraded to a Midwest while we save up for a 2 grid tall stand 2x6 C&C cage! Materials in the US are quite pricey!

It may have worked but don’t get me wrong he made it no easy task. “It has to be 2 grids high because I don’t like having to bend over. The lid has to be cat proof but it can’t look ugly since the cage is in the main living room. I’d like the lid to have a hinge so it’s easy to open.” Oh and you have to build it. Done done and done. I don’t think he was expecting me to win Anything for our little blathers!

We sat on the patio for lap time tonight. Blathers seemed really comfortable hiding out in the towel munching his veggies! I don’t think he knows just how much joy he’s brought back to my heart especially during this pandemic.

He's lovely. I don't think our pigs really do know how much joy they bring to our lives. My whole mood changes when I see my little piggy family. And I just feel wow how lucky I am that these little pigs are mine to love for all of their lives.

Oh how I wish we could tell them how much we love and appreciate getting to be their caretakers. Seeing just how much he’s blossomed in the short week and few days we’ve had him makes my heart melt.

You are doing a fantastic job! My boar, Shrimp, who I've had for 7 weeks now, who came from the RSPCA. He comes to the hutch bars, or the outdoor run bars whenever I'm near now. And that melts my heart. His character is really coming out now, he has a voice! He's about 2, but I don't think he ever really had a good home, a permanent home before he came here. He is a new friend for my four and a half year old girl, Molly, and I love him for the love he gives her too.

Those 2 sweeties are soooooooo cute! Which is which? I love the name Shrimp for a guinea pig!

It’s so amazing watching them blossom with proper care. I was told blathers bites, is aggressive and is super skittish. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I just hope he talks one day soon, we haven’t heard a peep out of him yet!
