Do you like getting cuddles with your mummy? I only like it for 5mins then I ask to be put back on the floor. Oh and I love cucumber and lettuce too! But cilantro (coriander) is yukkkkkkkkk...:vom::vom::vom: Me and the girls don't like drinking water from the bottles so we have cucumber the whole day. But Sierra and Vegas are complaining I always try to finish them all. I also love watermelon but now mummy won't give me more coz she said diet diet diet! :gd:

How rude. I too don’t like that dumb scale although my mom has only weighed me once since I’m still settling in. I chatter my teeth because then the human knows I want something. I’m still a little confused on how to be a piggy! After all I’ve never had a friend to learn from!

Mom and I have been working up on cuddles. For now we’re at 5 minutes! I love them as long as the human brings the yummy snacks! I get cilantro everyday because human mom says something about you need vitamin C and refuse to even nibble bell peppers. I don’t know how she expect me to eat those disgusting things! You get cucumbers the whole day?:yikes: I’m so jealous! I only get one slice per day! No worries you can come over here and my mom will give you this watermelon you speak of. I haven’t gotten to try any fruit yet! Mom said she would pick me out something special when she goes shopping tomorrow!

Blathers spam tonight!

I’m becoming quite the picky pig. I no longer want cucumbers and cilantro may as well be garbage. I accept lettuce and lettuce only! Mom tried to give me a peach slice as my first bit of fruit, I took one nibble and DISGUSTING. I can’t believe I am expected to eat anything other than glorious lettuce!

I think I have the opposite problem with my husboar, Shrimp. He will eat anything. Today he finished off my apple core! 😮.

The only thing I have found he didn't like is mint. He took one sniff and walked away!

He is so much more comfortable with the towel when I bring him out. He will accept a few head scratches if he’s all wrapped up!

I think I’d rather have that problem! I’m used to piggies eating anything they can get their mouths on, but Blathers has his own ideas about what is good and what’s not. He has become quite opinionated already :))

Shrimp gives me a lot of verbal abuse when I pick him up 😂😂. I've had him 8 weeks now. It's lovely how his character is coming out.

For being such scared prey animals these piggies sure can give a whole lot of attitude! :lol!: I’m only hoping whoever Blathers picks as a brother has much less of a refined palette lol.

It's quite exciting to see who he picks. When I adopted my three, I was a bit limited to who I could adopt with it being March and my hutch being outdoors. The two girls didn't hit it off with the bereaved girl I already had. They're only a year old so could have been tricky for them. And when I went to collect Shrimp, it was a socially distant handover, so zero chance of any dating. So so glad it worked out.

Sounds like you got quite lucky with your pig groups since there wasn’t a dating option! Plus your piggies are so cute together! I’ll always be Shrimps #1 fan, he melts my heart into a big ole puddle!

I’m so excited for Blathers first dates! The days are dragging on and I am impatient!

You know, shopping with the current situation, I'm only going out once a week. Normally I'd go pretty much every day for one thing or another. When I get home and try and cram everything in the fridge (it's an under counter one so only small) I realise that quite a lot of what's in there isn't even for us, it's for the pigs!

Piggies learn what's safe to eat from other piggies. So if whoever Blathers picks as a friend has had loads of veggies in the past Blathers will learn from that.

Well hopefully Blathers picks someone with a vast knowledge and loving for all foods. He sure acts like I’m trying to poison him with anything but lettuce 😂
 
Well I guess the cilantro and peach weren’t to much poison. Sometime last night he gave them a try and decided they were good. Didn’t touch the snap pea, little !
 
Guys I’m so excited! We’ve got some big big news! Blathers will have been with us for 2 weeks on Friday and knock on wood he seems to be perfectly healthy. Our rescue of choice for dating him has called. As you know they want to try and bond him with Frederick or baby boar. Well we scheduled a date for the last weekend in May. But they have called to see if they can move us up to this weekend as long as he remains healthy! Baby boar is now alone and is living next to Freddy who doesn’t seem to enjoy his baby antics. So pig dad and I have scraped the plans of a C&C cage since there’s no time to order things and we’ve already got 3 Midwest cages from when I ordered them last week. I’m off to buy some folding tables and to work on getting all 3 of them set up. I am so excited and so nervous for Blathers to be heading off this weekend. Fingers crossed he comes back with a brother of his choosing!

Also not looking forward to not having my boy here from Saturday till Monday😭
 
Ugh so I got the 2 extensions out of the box. They are the Midwest cages but the amazon brand (they are the exact same measurements of 47x24) and one of them the canvas is ripped. I’ve sent an email to amazon. But in the meantime I’ve now only got 2 of the cages that I can connect together instead of 3. Is that space okay for 2 boys? Or do I need to push back dating until I can get a replacement canvas? My plan for the boys is fleece on the 2 ends and the one in the middle is just going to be a giant hay bin!
 
Momma only shed a few tears tonight as I dropped my boy off for his big adventure. I know I’m such a sap but I’m really going to miss him. I also got to meet Freddy and baby boar while I was there. They are both sweet as can be, hopefully Blathers hits it off with one of them!
