I’m currently attempting to bond an already bonded pair of sows with my lone girl. After lots of teeth chattering, rumbling, a few lunges and and chasing, all three are finally settled. But I’m worried as it did seem quite aggressive. Can I just leave the three of them together now? Or do they need constant monitoring. I haven’t yet seen any amicable behaviour to suggest that they like each other 🙈

The white one is definitely top pig. The brown and white one is my lone girl. So I’m concerned the other two may gang up on her. The black and brown one is a very submissive pig but so is my lone girl. So not sure if they are trying to establish between them.

Sorry for the long post! Love from Beanie, Snugs and Rosie ❤️

Yes this was their bonding pen. I was told hides with multiple exits. 🙈 so no hides at all?
How long have they been in the bonding pen? Establishing works down the hierarchy so the bottom two will be trying to sort out between them.
Assuming the picture is of the bonding pen, and not their cage, its best not to have any hides in the bonding pen - it should only be a pile of hay

And an hour and a half. I’ve just had to take my lone sow out as she was getting attacked by both of them

I’m going to try again tomorrow. No hides and in a neutral area again. They are currently side by side in c and c cages for the night
