i have 4 guinea pigs 2 female and 2 male, the boys are over a month old and the girls are 8 weeks.
can 2 males and 2 females go together

Unfortunately no they cannot. The boys will fight over the girls.
One male can go with two females but it just depends on their personalities and compatibilities.
Your best option would be to keep them as two separate pairs (either a male/male pair and female/female pair or 2 male/female pairs).
If you're planning on housing a male and female together the male must be neutered.
If you end up having two same sex pairs please make sure they do not share bars as even the smell of the females could cause the males to fight and have issues.
Hope that helps 😊

Hello and welcome. I’m afraid it’s one boar to any number of sows. The other thing is that if you bond any of the boys with a female (or females) then that is intentional breeding. That’s not something supported on here.

Please make sure the boys are in a secure cage and away from the females. A determined boar will become very agile/nimble.

If you’re planning to separate them and pair with one of the sows then you’ll have to wait till they’re at least four months before neutering. Then it’s a further six weeks of waiting after neutering.
