Cage Cleaning Routine

Hello!

So, I'm currently sorting out a new cleaning schedule as my current one has just not been working for me. (I have a secret addiction to planning routines after routines lol)

I'd love to know your routines and how often you clean your piggies out etc.

My eight girls are in C and C cages.

Morning routine:

First thing I do is fill refill pellet bowls and hay racks.
Prepare and give them their veg and fresh water bottles
Then do a poop sweep
Then change the fleece beds in the round fleecy hides.
Change Zorb bedding if needed.
Change fleece bedding covers if needed.
I might vac the floors if the mess is bad.

DO another poop sweep in the evening.
and refill bowls and bottles.

Mine are on fleece with hay in litter trays.
My routine for cleaning is
Day 1 morning (before the veggies), poo pick, hay tidy and fresh hay, veg, water etc. Evening, after their tea, poo pick/sweep, clean out litter trays and change all hay. Check all beds and replace pee pads/beds if needed.
Repeat on day 2
Day 3 morning same, but evening is a full clean out. All fleeces removed; puppy pads removed; pee pads, beds, tunnels all removed. Hay/litter trays cleaned out. Clean everything put in. Wait and see it all trashed by morning!

So for me it's a 3 day cycle although I can sometimes switch the full clean out to the 4th day morning if it's a sat or Sunday.

Works fine for me and my piggies.
