Whilst he's still with you
@TheAurora, please try not to think of what's going to happen, try and concentrate on the now. Do not grieve for he has not yet passed, he is still very much with you and loves to be around you. Make the most of every second he gives you, snuggle him, spoil him, smile with him, that's what he wants
He might continue to surprize you and fight for quite sometime yet, hell, he may even make a full recovery. A slow and steady recovery is all you can ask for, yes you can't see it physically happening, but he has to heal inside before he can heal outside, so you're not going to know how much he's progressed until the vet sees him.
Yes he sounds rough, but he's made a heck of a lot of good progress in just a week, he just requires patience and lots of kisses from you
