Having gone to the hairdresser last week, it's actually possible to keep your mask while she whashes and dries your hair. It was more bothersome while she was cutting near the ears, obviously. So I have my hairdressers appointment booked and they have asked me to arrive in a mask... Not sure why as I'm pretty sure I'll have to take it off to have my hair washed and cut
Why? 37 is a normal temperature! 37.8 is what is considered significant enough to be Covid (normally a mild temp is 37.5). The nhs isn’t checking employee temps because it’s not considered to be worthwhile on otherwise asymptomatic people. Adding perfectly normal temperatures is a recipe for shutting down.I've been working for Mercedes f1 putting screens up, and they hand out a thermometers on the first visit, which you keep for following visits. They are resuauble with a replaceable battery. I read 35.6, the limit is 37, if you read 37 you are not allowed on the site
I'm either wrong and it's 38, or they are being overly cautious to make sure just because of one person, the whole of the work force go off sickWhy? 37 is a normal temperature! 37.8 is what is considered significant enough to be Covid (normally a mild temp is 37.5). I'm afraid I think people need to get back to work. There is no rationale in claiming it isn’t safe when people are cramming onto beaches.
It must be 38. Over cautious is one thing but actually turning away for what is internationally recognised as normal is ridiculous.I'm either wrong and it's 38, or they are being overly cautious to make sure just because of one person, the whole of the work force go off sick
I was just reading this. The BBC news says a tighter lockdown may be imposed in Leicester as there has been a spike in infections there. School and a supermarket have already been closed ☹
Stay safe, @eileen and @Lady Kelly ! xx
Too close for comfort for Northampton as well, most people I see are not sticking to the rules out in shops now, it's a discace, as if the economy hasn't taken a massive hit already, if we got into lockdoen again I think my job will be gone. The fact the my pap died partially from coronavirus just makes me so angry. It was lambrini for me, strongbow and Richmond super kingThanks, there are several schools closed after infections have been detected. There have also been staff tested positive at two of the Sainsbury's in the city. Eileen lives out of the city so should be a bit safer and neither of the Sainsbury's are the ones I would visit.
Unfortunately, the make up of Leicester with it being a multi cultural city does not help. There are pockets of various BAME communities and these are where the spikes have happened. We all know from the news that these communities are more susceptible and I am personally grateful that I live the opposite side of the city from these communities, around near me we have a few pockets of Eastern European communities but don't seem to have had a spike. I have a friend who lives near the Somali community and she has had to call the police many times due to youngsters congregating in the street drinking. She said it's because they are predominantly Muslim and can't get away with drinking at home but it can lead to anti social behaviour and obviously breaks the restrictions that are in place to protect us all. I do feel for them though, it seems that part of growing up and sneaking out with friends to do stuff that would upset your parents is being taken away from them due to the virus, it's almost a rite of passage disappearing. I certainly remember going down the park to drink white lightening and smoke a Mayfair (the cheapest, nastiest cider available with the cheapest, nastiest cigarette we could get hold of)

I was born square. The most I rebelled was writing a letter pretending it was to my (non-existent) boyfriend. That got me in troubleI think I was born square - my idea of rebelling was going to a church youth group and staying out talking to friends over a cuppa!

I used to call up computer game stores, and ask them how much cash I could get on a made up game, they used to look for ages, and then when they came back I'd hang up.I was born square. Good luck tomorrow.I wonder how they would enforce this. People are not playing by the rules at all now. I was in Teasdales yesterday & a woman came in, so close to me that she was practically stood in my handbag! I wasn't happy, neither was the shop assistant & I practically ran out! She'd even walked past the '1 customer only' sign on the door!
I was an extremely boring teen, didn't go in for sitting in fields/on the streets at all but my group of friends used to have regular sleepovers. We'd send our tallest friend in to the shop for lambrini & drink it out of plastic cups in our pyjamas! We were so rock & roll!
Hope everyone is ok. I'm feeling jittery, back to work tomorrow. My bag is packed, sandwich made. I'm scared about getting on the bus!
I stay home a lot more than I used to.We just opened non essential business today, however I'm still staying at home and only going out once or twice a week for shopping and to see family outdoors. I'm interested to know how other people's habits have changed?
Wales will allow 2 household to meet starting on Monday.Hopefully we can meet my in-laws again.
