COVID-19 Day 1 of Remote Working

I must say I would actually enjoy staying at home for 2 weeks. Providing I had food and toilet paper 😂
You would be astonished at how quickly it gets VERY boring.
It is so tempting to lay around in PJ's, do very little and eat toast, which is ok for a day or two, but with at least a month of this stretching ahead that isn't really an option!

Oh dear! Now that is quite the situation you’ve got yourself in! 🤣

@HeatherW is an athlete. Not many old women play Ultimate Frisbee...
To be fair, I am effectively an 80-year-old woman in a 30-year-old's body. I love naps, surround myself with furries, and the highlight of my evening is sitting on the couch knitting socks. What a time to be alive!

I really don't get why people think someone wants to be home 24/7. Cabin fever is a real thing and it's deceptively quick to kick in lol

We ordered on Friday and were lucky to get delivery for today by the sounds of it

Also I deliberately ordered on Wednesday for delivery on Sunday. Had to pay with the "wrong" card because my normal account was empty and Tesco checks all cards are valid (they make a small transaction of up to £2, which does get refunded). Then had to edit the order on the Thursday to use the "right" card. S'all a little complicated.

I work from home and have to say going to the shops is my social interaction! Yes I have a partner and 2 kids but .... the guinea pigs are better at chat 🤣🤣

Same here... Because of my hub's various illnesses we have had extended periods when we were mostly stuck at home.
That's when the piggy numbers have started to pile up.

For those going into self-isolation or social distancing:
Make sure that you have got a structure to your day and that you still get fresh air several times a day.

If you are on your own: Do you have somebody like a neighbour you can have a little chat with from a safe distance through a window, door or balcony? A direct personal contact can help push back the feeling of being closed in - as have those videos from Italy and Spain shown.

One of my friends is in work from home lockdown and does us a little video everyday. Yesterday was 80's style aerobics video. Today was tux (only the top half he had shorts on :))) and a piano recital using the auto feature on a Casio keyboard. I wish he did them on YouTube as it's so funny

Day 3 of remote working here: piggy daddy told me there's no prosecco on the shelves in Asda, its the proseccopalypse! Probably all the uni students celebrating that final exams have been cancelled... no prosecco... I have toilet rolls and a wide range of foodstuffs both hooman and piggy, but a wine shortage would really impact my ability to work effectively from home...!

B and m has loads, just been there, also they have loads of Timothy hay in so got a few bags, and just got my first ever hay box Timothy delivery earlier. Nice quality 👌

But no toilet roll and little kitchen roll

Same with me. Hubby is self-employed and works from home (business is mainly online). I am just a housewife since I moved to UK in 2011 and part time secretary of hubby. 😁 So as long as we have the fibre broadband, we are good. 👍

We get fresh air whenever we cut grass for the piggies, either from our garden or drive somewhere where there are fresh grass. 😂

Hub and I have been running his business with me filling in at need like you until his retirement, so I am not bothered either but those experiences come in handy now. Thankfully my current part time job is also run from home...

But it is much harder without that experience and if you are very much an extrovert and not an introvert.
