Now I understand that Guinea Pigs like thyme, basil, oregano & mint. But my question is.....does it matter Which species of oregano etc?

I have 4 different - basil, oregano & mint
3 different - thyme
And I know there's different kinds of camomile....
Etc etc etc
Anyone?

Hello! Welcome to the forum

Basil and mint are fine... Never tried Oregano but it is mentioned as safe on several piggy sites on internet, so you'd need further research on nutrition frequency of feeding.

Ours love parsley and coriander and dill.

I feed sage, basil, parsley, marjoram, cilantro, lemon balm, and very little rosemary.
 
My two go nuts for coriander,dill, parsley, mint and basil. Never tried oregano, thyme and rosemary.
 
Mine will eat parsley, a little sage, coriander, occasionally mint and nibble at others in the garden such as rocket, oregano and thyme. Grew apple mint for them but they don’t like it! Dont care for basil either! I don’t think it matters which types of each herbs either - just seems to be down to personal Piggy taste!
 
So then ALL mints are ok then? Spearmint? Peppermint? Chocolate mint? Etc?
As well as....Sweet basil? Italian basil? Etc?

I'm jus curious because I have different species of one plant.

Not seen anything to say a certain flavour of mint isn’t suitable same with basil. Just whichever yours like. As I said previously I grew Apple mint for mine and they don’t like it but my friends rabbits love it!

Oh boy that makes me feel better! Lol well I suppose I'll give it a try then & see which she likes Better and let everyone know the results Thank You!
 
well, you learn something new every day on here! I only give mine parsley and coriander. they hate basil and i've not tried mint but why not.
