Dots eye has made a full recovery over night. Last night it was full of her own cleaning milky fluid at the bottom and she was squinting still, which was making the eye hydrate with this liquid . Quite interesting. Done the trick anyway

I was told once why bother paying that its £25.00 for a New one. I said because I love my piggie and once they mine I do anything at any cost x
Yea I've heard these comments before. I'm not particularly clever. But let's say this comment came from a proud owner of a dog... That dog came from a rescue for a donation fee, or was just a free puppy from a relative, they would soon pay hundreds for a vet bill.

People treat animals like they are a cheap car.

Pet rats cost £12.50 each. I've spent 80 between the two of them for a full health check mot

Don’t even want to know how much I’ve spent on 11 rats over the years! Times that by at least 15/20! And only two of them had neutering ops, the rest was for other stuff! :))

I'm glad uri's are not too expensive to treat. Not compared with bladder stones and tumours

Yes but there’s still xrays etc that end up costing a fair bit, I’ve had ratties with malignant tumours, cancer/bone tumours, a heart condition, ear probs and possible diabetes etc etc on top of respiratory probs! They dont just get chest probs unfortunately! Although resp conditions can be cheap to treat if it’s just a course of antibiotics and that’s it, found it’s not that easy a lot of the time though!

Il prepare for the worst and hope for the best. 👍

I've had 3 ratsbefore, not a single breathing issue. Actually I've had 5 before and not issues with breathing. One had a heart attack though and 3 got tumours.(all female) But that was years ago, the gene pool is probably far more polluted now.

I think if I talk anymore about future health issues, I'm going to dig a hole and Bury myself the best I can and let the wife do the rest 🤣.

I am either going to keep on with rats or go back to gerbils cause they are so dam tough, but they just aren't are loving or handlesble. They are more for observing

This flush has cleared up the small tear dropped poos she had for around 2 years. Don't get me wrong, I tried everything to clear it up. Turns out it was a bladder flush needed. So the sludge in the bladder could have somehow been causing a discomfort in her bowel or something. Anyway Dot is on fire, I haven't seen her like this since around June 2018
