Yea il ask for a chat after her eye ha seen dealt with. How unlucky is this, a hay poke when I really did not want to stress her bladder anymore. Is hay poke easy to clear up with the droplets?
Yes, hay pokes generally heal quickly. Simon will check that there isn't any hay still in the eye.

Oh no poor Dot :( bless her, hope her eye will be sorted after some drops.
Rupert had some bleeding after his op too, hopefully it’ll calm down soon but def mention it to Simon if you’re worried x

First hay poke we've ever had here in about 10 years. Can't moan can I really 👍

Is that cause of the wetness for urine? Dot wad soaked this morning, but I dried her off, I think it's because she's resting alot in one place last night. She's eating like normal now, and begging and all that jazz

He did get quite wet as not moving around properly but obviously had to have just above his penis sliced open to remove the stone where it was stuck in his urethra :yikes: so had to be kept extra clean so no infections. Bedding changed at least twice a day. He went through the wars! There’s a pic on original thread of the war wound from years ago but was years ago and can’t remember thread name:doh:
Great she’s wanting food :D Just try and change her wet bedding as often as possible and keep her clean and dry x

Bless his little Cotton sockies. That made me go cross legged now.

Yea I'm keeping her dry as poss without disturbing her, she has it set that she's going back to the vets everytime I go near her. She's not wrong today lol.

I've been in an uphill battle with urine scald years ago on a guinea pig. Horrible to see

.

He starts chatting at 7.50pm, think he waits for the nhs clap then begins after. Check it out 👍

I have no problem with the cost of veterinary treatment, as you are paying for that vet's knowledge. It's when the vet hasn't got that knowledge, but still takes your money, that I have a BIG problem.
We pay different price at different vets wether they are specialist or not.
It breaks me when and WE do see on here people saying after they asked for help that can't afford vet prices. bills and we don't hear from them after. . If I had enough money I'd pay everyone's bills but I don't so I support charites piggie ones.
I had Cocoa tested and eventually rare cancer etc on her lip She got a year and i loved every moment with her total bills over £2400. I would pay again to help my piggies but many don't get that chance because of the cost. £23.00 for 5 days Metcam my local vets hence why I now travell miles for my poop machines.

Yes Tom the vet that did it said he was doing the same when he had to cut it, he’d tried to manipulate it out but was going nowhere, quite a sore spot to deal with!
Try not to worry if she’s not you’re best mate straight away, she’ll still be feeling a bit rough from op yest and the meds, now sore with her eye on top poor girly! But doing great if she wants to scoff! Think she needs some mega spoiling when you’re home later!

You could chop this girl in 4 quarters, she will find a way to eat lol

Glad Dot is ok, haypoke is really sore but clears up fast with prompt treatment- I've had 2 haypokes myself but not had a piggy with one yet! Both times it was definitely timothy hay in my eye, and the second time the hay was still there stuck under my eyelid with a ginger piggy hair attached lol, I was very embarassed going to casualty during lockdown about that! At least piggy daddy didnt have to leave me in a pet carrier in the car park with a note :)

Lol, love how I was expecting to read about guinea pigs and then it was yourself with hay poke 😂. Glad your better though.

I was expecting dot to need eye drops, but she's self healing.
