Senior Guinea Pig
i didn't give him anything else just incase, but stayed up all night to make sure he was ok and at least something was coming through, which it was but only tiny bits of poop and mucus.
spoken to the vet this morning and he's taken eddie off the doxycycline. he doesn't know if it's definitely that but it seems likely because he only started it friday. he said most gas will be passed without the need for anything else (because he's on metoclopramide already), but if i wanted to, i could give him some infacol aswell which will hopefully help by 'popping' the gas bubbles. and to continue with the gentle massage/vibration and hopefully things will pick up again now he's stopped the antibiotic. if not, then obviously we'll be back there again.
continue syringe feeding little and often aswell, making sure there is something coming through.
poor eddie.
