Iceberg lettuce should never be fed to guinea pigs. It has no nutrition and can cause stomach upsets. My piggies love iceberg lettuce, dill, and parsley as a treat!
Sorry, I know about iceberg lettuce it is romaine lettuce I think but definetly not iceberg.Iceberg lettuce should never be fed to guinea pigs. It has no nutrition and can cause stomach upsets.
You could always eat the veg yourself. Good for you, good for the piggies if you all get a variety
Hello where will I find this diet plan please?Carrot and kale are high in calcium and not best for piggies.
@piggyfan has a food plan for her gang, to prevent cystitis, sludge etc.
I give the pigs cucumber, green pepper, celery, rotating each day of dill, coriander, parsley. Twice a day, second feeding slightly less.
An occasional cherry tomato, as treat.

What I feed my boys... Then once a month they get some fruit. I also give half a piccolo tom each with seeds removed once a week.Having recently lost a piggy to bladder stones, we had a routine here, my boys got a slither of pepper, a chunk of cucumber, a green bean and a few bits of celery, twice a day on top of a handful of nuggets between them a day and unlimited hays.
Both of my boys have always favoured baby corns and now Oscar has gone Stan is back on one a day of these. Poor Stan had to suffer all of Oscars diet malarky lol.
TryMy new boys seem to be very fussy about what they eat veg wise! I don't think they had a varied enough diet before I got them, and they seem reluctant to try new stuff, any ideas?!
