I agree with you, you have some stunning piggies! What are thier names, ages and breeds?
Ok, I have 8 girls and 5 boys.. Girls are. Cookie, Honey, Meg, Ollie, Treacle, Fudgie and Pipsqueak!
Boys are, Taz. Barney, Harry, Snoop, Buddy and Alvin.
I couldn't see where to put any more pics up on my profile, if we can on here, I only joined yesterday, you all have some wonderful piggies too :)

I agree that grass is good in the diet. Grass is good for piggies as it has a lot of fibre. You just have to be careful where you pick it. From your own garden is best unless you have cats or dogs who might have fouled it. My piggies are sometimes fussy with grass. They seem to know when its not from the garden and won't eat it!

well, dougie, fudge, toffee, snowy, Elvis are all boys! ! - they eat most things and love there grub. pulling it out my fingers as I put it into their bowls. Mini baby corn is their most favourite at the moment - they have no manners at all

lol can';t count obviously!7 girls and 6 boys haha :)

My girls love peppers, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and kale but they hate celery and leave carrots to the last! My boys love carrots, peppers and cucumber but hate celery and broccoli!

mine obviously love corn. but their fave other veg stuff is cucumber, and currently watermelon (its summer and hot)

Carrot and kale are high in calcium and not best for piggies.

@piggyfan has a food plan for her gang, to prevent cystitis, sludge etc.

I give the pigs cucumber, green pepper, celery, rotating each day of dill, coriander, parsley. Twice a day, second feeding slightly less.

An occasional cherry tomato, as treat.
Hello where will I find this diet plan please?

Ic diet:
This is a diet especially designed to prevent bladder sludge and cystitis. Twice a day per pig:
1 slice cucumber
1 sprig coriander
1 slice spring greens
2 pieces celery
1 green bean
1 piece green pepper

Thank you. Do you have any more information on it? I'm just curious that's all, it's very specific and I want to try mine on this. What size would the spring greens be? Some of those have pretty pig leaves!

Having recently lost a piggy to bladder stones, we had a routine here, my boys got a slither of pepper, a chunk of cucumber, a green bean and a few bits of celery, twice a day on top of a handful of nuggets between them a day and unlimited hays.

Both of my boys have always favoured baby corns and now Oscar has gone Stan is back on one a day of these. Poor Stan had to suffer all of Oscars diet malarky lol.
What I feed my boys... Then once a month they get some fruit. I also give half a piccolo tom each with seeds removed once a week.

They go mad and I mean Mad for green beans.

The favourite of all my guineas and bunnies that I've had over the years has always been coriander (cilantro for any confused American forum members). There's always a bit of a scramble to find the bits of coriander before anyone else gets it at veggie times.

My 2 new girls I got a couple of weeks ago had never tasted coriander until they came here. The only veggies that their previous owner mentioned were parsley and carrots, which they apparently loved. I couldn't help thinking that they were going to be massively disappointed then, because I don't feed parsley at all as there are many more herbs available that guineas enjoy just as much with far less calcium, and only give very small amounts of carrot once a week. The first night they were a bit unsure of the coriander and Effie managed to find all of it before they even got a taste, but the second day they managed to get some and since then it's a race between the 3 of them to hunt out the herb first. :))

I try to do Mr Rox A varied veggie diet in the morning. Since I've only had him for over a week he has gotten:
- Red & Green headed lettuce leaf
- Roman leaf
- Cilantro (his fav)
- Organic dandelion leaves
- Slice of green bell pepper
- Cucumber, but he likes the skin the best
- Sometimes, butter lettuce
- Tried spinich, not his fav
- A baby carrot every other day
- Thin slice of apple

I mix it up what he gets in the morning. But at night I give him a lettuce leaf as a bed time snack.

My girls favourites are kale, carrot, sweetcorn, peppers, green beans, carrot and spinach. Broccoli, spring greens and cabbage often gets left to last - think they eat it when they realise they're not getting any more of the other stuff. We tried a bit of apple last week and this week it has been parsley, they love both.

I'm trying to build up a big list of food they will eat so that hopefully I can come up with a 'menu' for each week and change it round a bit so it's not the same stuff all the time (and help plan shopping lists better).

My six get a routine most of the time they'll have something leafy in the morning like romaine lettuce, coriander, parsley, greens or kale.

Then in the evening they two other little things, everyday they get a pepper cut into six, with either a small chunk of cumber, celery, carrot, broccoli or a cherry tomato.... (all depends what I've bought at the weekend)

Sometimes I'll give them apple and a grape but they don't get this very often it's more of a treat and their not to keen on it!

My girls leave celery to last and only eat it if there's nothing edible left in their cage. My boys have never touched celery, even if they have eaten everything else in the cage!

My boys love herbs, I try to mix it up in different variations with the staple red pepper, spring greens, green beans celery and whatever veg tops are going from the kitchen. I don't feed them cucumber because it makes them very wet. They don't eat baby corns. I feed apple or carrot every couple of days in small amounts.

My new boys seem to be very fussy about what they eat veg wise! I don't think they had a varied enough diet before I got them, and they seem reluctant to try new stuff, any ideas?!

Try
red, green and yellow peppers,
Celery leaves or main bit,
Carrot peel,
Dill, parsley - curly or flat leaf,
cucumber,
or grass if piggys are spoilt.
If they have been with you less then a week don't worry as it took my piggys ages to settle in!:)
