Finally ordered the nuggets I've narrowed down to be the best

I'm properly impressed by rosewood. What other pellet brand explains all this info on the back, that explains why certain ingredients are not in it, not just listing what isn't and expecting the customer to work it out for themselves. That's passion in their product for sure 👏

I think they are too big and hard for our dental piggies. I've tried mixing them in with other nuggets, but they are always left.
Yea they are a bit chunky to be fair. I snap them in half, but that would get pretty annoying doing that for the amount of pigs you have there

I looked at the Marriages ones, the only place I could find them on line was very expensive. Has anyone found them at a reasonable price, I think some of my piggies will struggle with the size of the hay box ones. I snap the JRFarm ones in half.

The only thing that's put me off Marriages is, as you say, how expensive they are because you can't buy in bulk!

Glad your piggies like the new pellets @SkyPipDotBernie! My lot are so fussy, the only thing they'll eat without issues Harringtons. I have them on a mixture of pure timothy grass pellets and wheat bran now and it seems to be going down semi-okay, thank goodness.

My pigs are refusing the rosewood pellets tonight 🤔. I'm half tempted to go with oxbow and just pay the price, itl last ages but I was trying to save money. Not sure on this

It is difficult, stay with it,as by the end of seven days they will eat them.i would suggest the marriage pellets,i can send you some if it helps ,so you will not have to purchase again .

Il keep trying these ones and let you know if that's ok👍than il pm you if not

@eileen unfortunately Marriages won't tell me if a local supplier does 15kg sacks, because I'm not said supplier! Bah. Will try emailing.

EDIT:Just checking, are you sure it's the Hypoallergenic Guinea Pig Pellets you can get in 15kg sacks? I can't find reference to that anywhere, only their "Guinea Pig and Rabbit Fruit and Fibre Blend")

Are you mixing them with the old type pellets ? I found my guinea pigs will eat them if the pellets are broken in half. Keep trying as these are one of the best pellets😊

@SkyPipDotBernie (and anybody else who asked me to let them know how it went!) my Haybox pellets have just arrived. I’ve just given piggies a couple of them and they are an absolute hit! They were quite a bit bigger than the pellets they are used to but they are just sat nibbling at them (a couple of bites and they’re gone). They smell so fresh! It’s a thumbs up from us!

I've just ordered some Haybox pellets too, plus a bag of dried nettles :)
I might hand feed these or scatter feed them amongst their morning hay and veggies, seeing as we've pretty much stopped morning bowl feeds, mornings are for scattering and the bowls just for dinner in the evening!
