Furbabies' Adventures

Yes, he is a sweetheart and I ❤️ him so much.
But he is also the piggy that worries me the most.

I knew that he was a small boy and he was very light for a boy when I got him. I wasn't worried about that when I brought him home because piggies usually gain weight once they feel at home. But he is stil round about 800 g.

He is very adventurous but on some days he just doesn't want to eat ... I think he is too spooked by something. Or maybe there was trouble in the group? 🤷‍♀️
But on these occacions he is vety stuborn about not wanting to eat. In combination with his weight not the best choice.

I'm still not 100% confident about the group either. At times, they seem allright. At other times, it's the girls ... and then there is Pino.

This year nothing is simple or easy with my piggies.

And for everyone who is dreaming of pignapping Pino: at the moment, he doesn't want to be held or cuddled at all. He is all wringly and can be quite hard to hold.
But well, that at least is normal piggy behaviour. 😂
That's fine. Lovely Lexi 🌈 was like that too. I can cope with that.

Pino, stow away in Slave's bag on Tuesday then I can hide you in mine and bring you back to Betsy Towers.

I rag on Mourne a lot, but the only reason he's survived the group so far is his complete confidence in himself as The Best Piggy Ever. It's not confidence that is remotely warranted but Mourne's never let pesky little things like facts get in his way.

Maybe that's what Pino is missing - just a little confidence in himself?

Yes, I have the feeling that he has lost quite a bit of his self confidence.
But there could also be a link to the weather. Even though it's still not hot in my flat, we have had above 30° outside these last days. He was definitely doing better with cooler weather outside. But unfortunately, that's nothing I can anything about.

Pino is doing so much better. There was a time when I thought we would loose him. But the specialist vet was right - he said that with luck he will pull through on his own. We still don't have a clue what was going on but his appetite is coming back, he loves floor time again and is back to being a happy boy.
He was seperated from the girls for about a week. It wasn't a problem to put him back with the girls but of course Kylie is still Kylie.
Last Friday Bonny (as paw holder) and Pino were at the university hospital to get Pino checked through. Not a clue was found. The only thing that the lab results showed was that he hadn't been eating normally. Well ...
When they came back after about two to three hours, Kylie was quite determined not to accept Bonny or Pino back. But luckily she is a big bully but not that aggressive. I feel that the situation has calmed down again.

Of course it would help if Pino would show some rumble-strutting or tell the girls how lovely they are.
But he is more interested in exploring the flat.
