My baby Oreo died this morning, she was my first guinea pig and my first one to lose. It’s so strange to not see her in her cage munching on some veg.

She was a fantastic guinea pig who was the big boss of everyone. She was so cute and cuddly! She could also be stubborn and moody but that was all part of her charm. She loved her veggies and would stand on her hind legs when she knew she was going to get a treat. It took ages for her to learn that trick but she never gave up! She never got on with any other guinea pig except for Cleo, over the years I tried to introduce her to Alvin, Sammy, Tiger but she wasn’t having any of it! Her and Cleo were best friends, no one else was good enough. She kept everyone in line and told them off when they would annoy her. Her little face would light up when she heard my call her for a treat! It would be the only thing that would get her out of bed haha! She was always well behaved when grooming and nail clipping and always loved a fuss. She was my big fluffy bunny, my right hand man. we have been through everything together, she was always there for me when I was upset and needing cheering up. She always made me laugh and smile. She will always be in my heart.

What a lovely tribute for a lovely pig.
So sorry for your loss.
Take time to grieve- Oreo will leave a big hole in your heart and that pain will take time to work out.

She lived an amazing life with you. sending you huge hugs. she had the best possible life that you could have given her. RIP Oreo love, sweet dreams x

Oreo had a fantastic life with you. Both you had your other piggies will need time to grieve.

She sounded like a very very special piggie.
You will in time after this shock and hurt be able to smile on reflection of what you both did together. :luv:

Thank you for all your kind words. I miss her so much, my guinea pig family feels so incomplete now, it will never be the same. Luckily Cleo (Oreos buddy) is getting on with things as if nothing has happened, she is eating well, drinking well and playing as normal-she is her normal happy self.

Agreed I couldn’t imagine life without my piggies!
