GPTV's Herd

Well once again I've not posted many pigtures lately.

But Wendy wasn't wanting to get up this morning, so went for breakfast in bed! 😂

Pippa just thinks if she wheeks loud enough it's breakfast time 24/7 :))
No she's not really begging at the bars!

Gorgeous pigtures 😍🙏
Thank you 🥰

Hiya. How are you doing? Glad the piggies are doing well x
Heya :D
Imma good thanks it's everyone else .

Pippa & Wendy are still only happy as neighbours, when I was cleaning them out last night they were having a bit of a neighbourly grumble at each other. They've been side by side a few months now and I've not plucked up the courage to try them together again yet.
They're both dominant personalities 🤞🏻 but I'm hoping it'll work at some point soon.

Hope you're all ok? Chester still as adorable as ever? ❤️🐕 Xx

Well the wonderful Wendy is just after any words of wisdom that could help alleviate my mumma's nervousness, she's been hormonal & had 3x hormone injections for her ovarian cysts (very large originally)

The first jab they both went down a lot, the second jab they went down a bit more, peace in the piggy room restored shortly after the first one . 6wks later Wendy was chasing, chattering, humping poor Pippa with no respite!

So the vet tried a third jab as a cyst one side had stayed down ,the other was enlarged again 3rd jab was just over 2wks ago, she had a a check up on Friday &was a bit subdued Thursday.

The vet was suggesting a spay, but I've requested just removing her ovaries - the vet thinks that's a good option as Wendys mature &it's less invasive.

Wendy goes in tomorrow morning for her op, now I'm all jittery like a cat on a hot tin roof .

I trust the vet as she is brilliant with all my
animals, but I'm still a nervous wreck for poor Wendy! 😢

Good luck Wendy. Sending healing vibes and hugs to you @GPTV. 😍

Thank you @Roselina @Truffolo 😍
Well I've dropped her off, packed lunch, hay, forage and cosy cup/tunnel too. Think she had the 'cob on' with me though 🥺
The nurse said she was first or second on the list, so I should know by 2pm how it went. I've got 4hrs of suspense & being a nervous wreck every time the phone goes off!

Well, the vets rang me about 1pm said I could collect her later this afternoon.
I went over & the nurse gave me a handover, said it had all gone well. They had removed an approx. 2.5cm diameter cyst on side and a nearly 4cm wide cyst off the other.

Although it had gone well she hadn't eaten much but had been given some recovery food.

I got her home; she was very lethargic no interest in food .

I phoned the vet to ask for advice as she was doing odd breathing movements, the vet recommended some more painkiller. I gave her that although she didn't want it which was unusual.
A few minutes later Wendy passed away 💔
