Hello everyone!
I have 2 guinea pigs and in April one of my Guinea pigs had a bladder stone op and it was successful she has been doing perfectly fine but recently she’s started to cry again when peeing and cry even louder when she poops I’ve been checking and her poop is very runny and all clump together rather than coming out separate and hard. I’m hoping I’m making sense but yeah the poos are soft and clumped together. I’m praying this has nothing to do with her previous bladder stone issues and is just maybe something we’re feeding her, any suggestions or advice before we book a vet appointment would be great! Xx :)

I don’t have much experience with bladder stones as my one experience ended badly so I don’t know if the clumpy poos could be to do with the operation. Are you feeding a lot of veg? Sometimes soft poos can be due to this.

Thank you for the reply, sorry to hear your experience ended badly. We don’t fed them a lot of veg but yes could be linked to that so think a vet check up just incase :( thank you again x

@Sophiaclark I think it will be more likely due to an upset stomach so I would limit veg for a few days. But the vet will be able to check her over to see if it's anything else. Hope all goes well at the vet!
Thank you so much ! X

Hello all! Just a update we had taken her to the vet and she had been losing a lot of weight and the vet gave us some medicine. I spent a lot of time with her trying to get her eating more but very very sad to say this morning my beautiful baby Belle has passed away. Thank you for the continued support, I appreciate it always.

So sorry to hear that you have lost Belle.
You’ve done so much for her, she will have known that she was loved.
Look after yourself and take time to grieve now
