My skinny pig has been eating weird and now and then makes so sort of wet noise he also has to hold his food down and rips pieces off of it? My other Guineas have never done any of these things? And I just over thinking? Help! He eats perfectly fine though and hasn’t stopped at all.

If he’s eating fine and shows no sign of struggling then I imagine he’s ok.Can you post a video to show what you mean?

He could have dental issues. I would get him checked out by your vet

I'm not sure if he has always eaten like that as when I brought him from someone he just ate like that? Lol

Well then a video would be mighty helpful for us to tell you if it looks normal or not.

I'm trying to post one but it just keeps saying the video doesn't have an allowed extension? or something. I also saw in his mouth he other day and i saw one of his bottom teeth is shorter than the other not much so that may be the issue.

Unfortunately the costs of supporting videos on the forum are too high so you would need to upload the video to a third party site first like YouTube then you can add it here

YouTube that is him eating his nuggets and drops one lol looks normal i think its big pieces of kale he does it to

Nope not getting video. Click on the chain link icon and copy and paste the URL in and press post reply. This should link the video to your post.

That eye looks painful and if his teeth are slightly irregular he needs to have his back teeth checked by a vet. Do not treat his eye yourself, it needs to be diagnosed and treated correctly. Do not use human eyedrops.
Please book him in with a vet tomorrow.

Any issue with an eye needs prompt investigation and treatment from a vet. Please can you get him to vet As soon as possible. Please don’t use human eye drops or home remedies.

ok thank you and i saw a piece of hay hanging out and managed to wipe this out so that might have been the issue but will call the vet tomoz if its not any better tomoz 45741477_2249731168580138_4427867465472540672_n.webp

Well done. However you will still need the vet to add a fluorescent dye to the eye & shine UV light to check for ulceration caused by the hay under the lid. It’s almost inevitable you’ll need some form of medication. Eyes can turn nasty so quickly.
