So I recently got the pigs a new brand of timothy and they aren't eating it, they are only eating the fuzzy pieces. I would just buy another brand, but it is a big bale thing and I don't want to waste it all.
Any ideas on how to get them to eat it?

@kitkat1 unfortunately I don't think there's any way you can get them to eat it. If they're not keen on the hay, in my experience they just won't eat it

Sorry to say I'd cut your losses and buy some different hay - it's really important they take in plenty of roughage at all times. You could try and sell/give away the remaining Timothy bale on here or donate it to a local rescue? Sometimes a sprinkle of something they do like on top of the hay will encourage them to eat it? You could just use it as bedding and put some hay they like on top?

Maybe... Do you think if I just leave it there they will eventually eat it? Or are you sure that they just won't eat it.

I just got my piggies some beautiful Selective Timothy hay and it's very long and luscious. Aaannnddd they won't eat it! I had to get some more today at P@H, I just hope they like it 'cause their favourite stuff is from Wilkos and I can't get there very easily lol. Time will tell! Piggies can be very fussy right?!

How to get stubborn piggies to help the slaves out and like what they are given.... nope I've not managed that one yet :)) they have me wrapped around their paws! You could continue trying it alongside a hay that they will eat to see if they give in to it in the end, it's worth a shot surely? But I wouldn't leave them only with that hay as obviously hay is such a massive part of their diet.

Yes Yes... stubborn little piggies :)) They ate more of their hay in the last couple of hours, which is good. I have made a mental note from now on to start with very small bales of hay when switching brands. If they aren't making an improvement in the next couple of days I will buy another brand of hay. The brand of hay that I bought was first to second cut, which is why they probably didn't like it, so I will make sure to get third cut from now on also. :D
