HAIR THINNING AND LOW WEIGHT?

First of all, I apologize for my English. I bought a 1-month-old female guinea pig that was recently separated from its mother so that my 3-month-old male guinea pig would not be left alone from a breeder (not from a petshop). But it was very weak and small compared to my 3-month-old male guinea pig(YOU CAN SEE MALE(3 MONTH) AND FEMALE(1 MONTH) GUINEPIG DIFFERENCE IN PHOTO)/I THINK DIFFERENCE IS SO MUCH. IT seems to have 2 wounds on its head and butt (.I'm not sure if there is a wound or not) Is the reason for the thinning of hair on its body due to the breed of the guinea pig(Abyssinian?) or due to a lack of vitamins/nutrition problems? There is no problem with it eating grass and pellets right now, she is very active. Is there anyone who can help ? I also added the photos

Please separate these piggies immediately.
Sadly as you have put two opposite sex piggies together there is now a real risk that the female has or will become pregnant. She is very young and a pregnancy will be very hard on her.

Their cages can be side by side so they can talk through the bars but they cannot be in the same cage again.
You will now need to put the female on 10 weeks pregnancy watch. Sows become fertile somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks of age - with any luck she is not yet fertile if she is only 4 weeks old but she may have her first season at any day so she cannot be in the same space as the male.

It would be best if she is checked by a vet - we cannot comment on any hair loss or if she is lacking in vitamins as we do not know her diet or her background.
It is possible you are simply seeing the centre of her rosette where her hair can look thinner but a vet is best to give her a general health check.
The most pressing issue right now is that these two piggies cannot be physically together.

Make sure you are weighing them both every week as part of routine care as it is the only way to monitor adequate hay intake

You have ignore the bar chewing.
She is chewing the bars, not because she is looking for sexual contact, she is chewing the bars because she is looking for companionship. She is a baby and ideally needed to be kept with another female guinea pig.

What do you mean by bring them together for a healthy birth?
You do not want a guinea pig to ever be pregnant. There are risks to becoming pregnant - including the death of mother and/or pups.

For two piggies to be able to live together, they either have to be the same sex or the male has to be neutered.
An unneutered male can never be in the same cage as a female at any time.

If you cannot get the male neutered , then they will have to live their whole lives in separate cages and can never be physically together.

If you can get the male neutered - you will have to wait until he is 4 months old and his testicles descend. Once they have descended, you can take him to the vet to be neutered. You then have to wait for six weeks after the surgery has to been done for him to become infertile, then you introduce them properly on neutral territory (provided she is not pregnant from this incident of you putting them together - if she is pregnant then you would do best to keep them apart. Whether they can go back together then depends on the number and sexes of any pups).

I separated them completely and made an appointment for surgery for the male guinea pig in 3 months. My vet said that my female guinea pig's hair loss was due to vitamin deficiency. He gave her a special vitamin supplement and her hair started growing from the first day. I was the one who wanted them to mate because I thought they needed it but I don't think so anymore. My guinea pigs are my life and I will do my best to make sure they live long. Thank you very much too

I’m so glad you have changed your mind about letting them breed. We do not support any intentional breeding on the forum so if you had continued with your plan to breed them then you would not have received any help or advice from us.

Please make sure they have a good hay based diet with a mix of vegetables each day. This diet provides all their vitamin needs so they do not need any supplementation.

As his surgery is a long time away, you will know whether she is pregnant by then.
If she does have pups, please do come back to us regarding next steps - you can only keep certain combinations of piggies together long term plus any baby boars need to be separated at the right time otherwise they will get their mother pregnant.

Once he has been neutered (and is the female is not pregnant), you will need to wait six full weeks after his surgery before you can reintroduce them.
The reintroduction must be done properly on neutral territory - you cannot just put them together in one of their cages.
