I've recently switched to getting my hay from Haybox (they absolutely love it) but I love a bargain and decided I simply had to get the largest amount as it was the best value...now I have three massive 5kg cardboard boxes sat in the spare room of my fairly small flat
Not like we will have any guests any time soon anyway with COVID... but I've been thinking of ways to store it to make things a bit more aesthetically pleasing! From my understanding hay should be kept in a 'cool' dry place but it to be inside as I have no garden so spare room it is. I also know it lasts best in a breathable container so that rules out my original idea of plastic bins. Now I'm wondering about those fabric under-bed storage 'boxes' you can get for clothes? Then I could put the hay out of sight under the bed and seeing as those bags are designed to stop clothes gong mouldy I assume they're fairly breathable? I think they're normally made of cardboard and polyester
Here's a link to show what I mean:
SKUBB white, Storage case, 93x55x19 cm - IKEA
Do you think this is a good idea or am I not considering something? Is it okay for the hay to be on the floor like that?
Any other suggestions welcome
