Are you still waiting on the vet to get back to you?
I am Kerrie... its been AGES .... I thought for £50 it would of been a quicker diagnosis .... Can't mention it to the OH as he gets very annoyed about it cos i was charged so much - touchy subject ....

Hmm, that's not good :/ If I had known they were going to rip you off and then take their time with the results I would have never suggested them, I would have suggested the one on gregory blvd or the one in West Bridgeford *sigh* We've only ever really been for things like nail clips, mites and when Sheamus kept getting URI's and ear infections and the price seemed all right, but I did think the meds were a bit ott when Cesaro last went, I guess it depends on who you see. When we got Jericho he was taken to be checked over along with Big's because he had dandruff, I'm sure that appointment only cost £44 with meds for two piggies... so I'm a bit confused about their charges lol.

@Kerrie74 please don't feel bad... you have nothing to feel bad about.. its only money :yikes:... If we have to go again, I will request Liz and ask her in person why I was charged so much for the meds.. everyone expects a little mark up on price but not double.. we have only had the piggies 6 weeks - it seems like a lot longer and i can't imagine them not being here now.. x

Sorry I don't know how I missed your post!

I know, but still, I was saying they were ok there, but I didn't realised they ripped people off :/

Still no results.... Just rang them again... Waiting for a call back..

Your kidding?
@Kerrie74 - Liz has just rang me, seem surprised that i was ringing again ?? I said ' well is it ringworm then ?".. She said nothing has grown so it won't be... Which is good... she wants to see her again as i told her she still has it on her ear and its not really going.. SO taking them both on monday pm... OH will not be happy as I will have to pay another consultation fee :( But i do have a voucher from PAH for a £10 consultation... so worse case its going to cost me another £30, cos i bet i will just buy some imaverol when i have been...

*sigh* You wasn't pushed into going was you? Don't buy any meds off of them that you can get cheaper! lol.

well sort of.. i did say, will i have to pay to see you again and she said yes.. I think i will take OH with me and let him question her on the medication cost of £42 that clearly hasn't done anything :( defo won't be buying any more meds when i go...

Hmm... yeah don't let them push you into anything... See when I needed lice treatment last year I was told the price first, they said I could go back with two (or something like that) to get them treated after, so I've no idea why that Erika didn't tell you the price first.

i think i will defo complain about her, she has left so i won't have to face her ! She wasn't very clear at all.. I know i got a bit upset at the time but i was listening! x

My son said they don't tell him the price of the antibiotics but we know roughly what they are anyway because of Sheamus having so many problems last year.

It's ok, just explain when you go and see what they say, I personally think they should give you the option of buying it yourself from the internet if it's expensive from them.

I have decided to cancel the appointment.... The Mycozole has not cleared the ' fungus ' up - it hasn't spread either so I am just debating whether to buy some HIBiSCRUB or IMAVEROL ? Advise please guys as I trust you all !
@helen105281

I would get the Imaverol as Hibiscrub is not a very anti-fungal treatment. Do you need the link?

are they both the same product cos one has a different name ?

That's what I looked at xD If you look at the box on the one I pasted it's the same stuff (Enilconazole)... So I think it's the same stuff. I'm sure @helen105281 will tell us :)

The link I posted you can specifically purchase for a guinea pig and it is not branded Imaverol. Otherwise you have to buy for a horse.
