So, to quickly catch you up I have 3 piggies, (1, 7-8 year old female called Trixy) and 2 new babies about 16 weeks old (Bonnie, Honey both females) Now, Trixy had a cage mate but she passed away and i was reluctant on getting her cage mates as i wasn't good with money at the time Trixy was alone for about 1 near enough 2 years and i decided it was a good time to get her some friends, so i bought Bonnie and Honey, at first when I introduced them all, they were okay Trixy didn't really seem to care much for them and just sat there waiting to leave and the babies were sceptical I decided to call it off (I sat for 6 hours) since i didn't see anything happening, At all. which was really confusing, and after the local check with the vet she told me that Trixy maybe just preferred being alone as she was used to it, so I said okay I'll keep her alone and make a big cage with a wall down the middle so atleast she can have company and speak ect ect. for about 3 weeks this went perfectly they would sometimes sit at the fence and lie down together (Honey and Trixy) and all was well, Recently within the past 2 days something with Trixy has snapped and she has constantly been Hyperactive trying to get to the babies, to the point where she tried to jump up a 9 inch fence (How is that even possible) and she's tried to pull the fence off aggressively, I really don't know what's caused her to become so angry and determined to get to the babies they are fed the same times and the same things, for now I've but a wood board across the wall, so she can't see the babies and this has calmed her down to her usual self again but I feel so bad, cause maybe she just wanted to be with them? if anyone has any ideas on why she has suddenly snapped It'd be great to hear cause I can't find Anything At all about this, I just wanna mention I've never Never seen this side of Trixy in 8 years.
