Senior Guinea Pig
The plot thickens what ever she had is resistant to four antibiotics & is normally found in sheep? unfortunately the three ones normally used in guinea pigs are also resistant. The vet offered to give me antibiotics but said I would have to inject her daily. I said I wasn't comfortable doing that as I didn't want to injure her! Vet agreed she seemed a well piggy she is so much brighter and the lump has gone very small. She has advised me to keep feeling the lump monitoring her weight as I have been and also watch for any signs of teeth grinding etc..
I keep thinking I should have agreed to antibiotics but all I kept thinking was she seems to be better, I don't want to potentially harm her if she doesn't really need it, but am I harming her by not doing it.
This is what she had apparentally, I wonder if I got some bad hay and it transmitted it to her?
