yes,there is only one insurance company that will insure guinea pigs in the UK.That is exotic direct.

Its worth checking the small print, we considered insurance when we first got piggies but it would have cost over £20 a month to insure 2 young healthy piggies and the excess was £100 and the maximum they would pay out in a year was £2000... we decided just to save the money instead.

Yes I just got a quote for 3 pigs it was £33.50 and the exact same excess and pay out

Does this depend on the age of the pig and where you got it? What happens if you find an illness right away after you just got insurance? It would look suspicious
I agree that it is often more beneficial to save up the money in a separate account

I'm planning on doing an on the side fixing broken goods like washing machines the rich people just throw out with minor problems and making a vet fund out of it. Worth a go i guess. I recently repaired a tv that my mate was taking to the tip and didnt even spend on it
