Hey, I feel like all I talk about is Kronk and his tunnel and I’m sorry about that but I’ve been worrying about something and didn’t want to sound silly but I think I just have to ask. Will the boys hurt their teeth chewing on the hay tunnel? The sound that it makes when they’re chewing on it terrifies me (it’s mainly Kronk but sometimes Kuzco has a go as well), I think it’s because it’s quite hard wood that acts as the tunnel with hay sort of stuck on and it sounds like it’s going to hurt but they keep doing it so I assume they know what they can chew safely? I just don’t want them to hurt themselves... I don’t really know how strong their teeth are

Mine have always chewed their wooden ‘furniture’ and haven’t come to grief, but I agree - the sound makes me anxious! Even chewing cardboard can be very loud. Tooth injuries can happen for apparently no reason sometimes; a forum member’s pig had a tooth break for no apparent reason recently. They do grow back, but you have to keep an eye on the opposite one as it will have nothing to wear down against in the meantime. It’s just a risk that you have to take - like hay; they need it, it’s natural, but some times they stab themselves in the eyes or shove it up their noses!

Piggies know what they can and can't handle! The way my pigs demolish their wooden houses is terrifying to me, but hey, they love it :')

It’s perfectly normal for piggies to chew on their tunnels, furniture & anything they can get their teeth around. But the noise can be deafening at times. It’s good enrichment for them.

Agree and always most loud when trying to watch something! They are in the loungs btw, we can hear them upstairs when theyre going for it!
