I have heard of people adding some kind of fruit juice to baytril to make it more palatable to their pets. It may have been rabbits though so best check with a vet or on here before trying it.

I haven't heard of that, but maybe cucumber juice would work, and would be healthier for guineas.

He is, isn’t he! He’s growing into his features

I’ve heard of this too, but as he’s on 0.45ml twice a day diluting it just makes a lot more to get in him. He’s been pretty good about it so far, he doesn’t like it but he doesn’t fight me either. He’s a bit of an angel when it comes to meds and nail trims and things like that

I know I’m biased, but I think he’s the bestest piggie in the world he’s so gentle and he loves a cuddle, which I know I’m very lucky to have

He says thank you! He continued to be an angel pig at evening meds and also ate lots of critical care voluntarily. It’s too early to tell if the antibiotics have done anything, but he’s definitely brighter today. I’m cautiously hopeful

I'm sure you are Eddie! But I have said nice things about you on this thread before, mostly how sweet you are and how nice your coat is, so I haven't been neglecting you.

It is lovely to see that you and Tofu are getting on well together again.

Tofu is enjoying his new vet bed, thank you @Roselina for the suggestion hopefully it’ll help him need fewer bum baths!

Tofu does love his pea flakes he’s doing quite well. Had a couple of bloody pees so I think he does have a UTI, but the antibiotics seem to be helping

I’ve had the same bag of pea flakes for four years lol, since I brought Tofu and his brother home from the rescue. It’s a large bag from Small Pet Select, I think I got it from amazon. They haven’t gone off yet and the piggies still love them

Eddie wheeks up a storm whenever I take Tofu out of the cage for meds. He’s upgraded to zooming around the cage so violently that beds get thrown over so now he gets half a bowl of veggies before I put Tofu back

After Tofu’s syringe feed just now they both demanded pea flakes & more hay because clearly they were starving in the hour since their last hay top up

I also managed to catch him napping in one of his favourite beds. He usually runs for cover when he sees me, but he stayed asleep long enough for me to grab my phone!

Ed helped Tofu polish off his critical care today. He demanded some with the way he wheeks while Tofu gets syringes he’s going to reign over the entire house at this rate, even the dog runs at the sound of his squeaks

When Micah was ill and being syringe fed, Ruth wanted to share.
She would literally pull the syringe out of his mouth.
I ended up preparing 2 syringes so she would let Micah enjoy his.

They are such funny creatures and Ed sounds so full of character

I think Ed read this in my phone because he’s been ripping syringes out of Tofu’s mouth today it made Tofu want them more so I’m not complaining! And they haven’t been bickering anymore since Tofu’s been on meds and feeling better, so I’m not concerned about their bond

Edamame is definitely growing into a boisterous little character he zooms and wheeks until his opinion is heard
