Meet Edamame šŸ˜

Back from the vets, both boys did well! Tofu has a clean bill of health, but they advised me to give him a bit of a bum bath again as he struggles to do that himself now

Ed’s ā€˜bald patch’ isn’t actually bald as the hair is all growing back. The vet said it looks like a thermal injury. I’m not sure where he could have done it, but they were in the carrier together on a hot day for Tofu’s eye appointment right before it appeared. Either way, it’s healing well and doesn’t look parasitic so as long as it continues to improve then he shouldn’t need any treatment. Otherwise he is growing well and no other signs of illness which is good

They did very well being out of the house. Tofu knows this vet and always behaves well, Ed didn’t wriggle too much haha. Fresh hay now they’re home!

First liner change today - Edamame had a ton of fun. Zooming all around the empty space, investigating the dustpan and brush, insisting on eating the old hay out of it… Tofu was rumbling like crazy and I think Ed is starting to try and copy him. He’s only managing tiny squeaks šŸ˜‚

My OH thinks I’m crazy for cooing over the poop size difference. Ed’s are just so small!

Nothing wrong with cooing over the poop size difference. When they are first born the poops look like little seeds.

Ed’s are already so much bigger than they were and it’s only been four weeks. Can’t imagine how tiny newborn poops are!

The bits in the dustpan are a delicacy, Bandit says so!

Edamame agrees! Tofu has never been a fan (until Ed was and he had to join in, naturally)

Second half of the liner change meant Edamame got to meet a new tunnel. It has THREE exits! Fascinating, must explore. Tofu just enjoys wandering around an empty cage haha

Ed’s bald spot has healed and the fur is almost full length again. Crisis averted 😊

Eddie, you are a lovely colour! I know you are a little disappointed at not getting into the Stripey-Nose Club, but maybe you could set up your own club for guineas with your lovely colour. It's almost like chocolate cake.

Eddie says thank you very much for appreciating his lovely colouring! He’s a little miffed that he doesn’t get to hang out with Tofu in the clubhouse, but he is going to make friends with other non-stripey nosed piggies instead

He does look like chocolate cake šŸ˜ the more he grows, the more I suspect he is a golden agouti. His tummy is all golden as are the rings around his eyes, though it’s hard to get on camera - but we shall see how he comes out when he’s fully grown. His fur is really soft as well, much softer than Tofu’s

Tofu had another bum bath tonight. He is not bothered at all as long as he’s got some veggies to munch šŸ˜‚

Moses will be your friend in the Non Stripey Nose Club Ed.
He’s not allowed in either but he thinks the club is the best one anyway.
He’s not supposed to say that too loudly though as Miriam is now President of the other club

Hi Moses! You look like fun šŸ˜ I could use another uncle boar in the club. I hear you and Miriam like destroying your furniture, that’s one of my favourite hobbies too! Especially turning the cardboard box upside down. Do you think you could teach me how to rumble? Uncle Tofu says I’m too small and my rumbles sound like bubbly squeaks. Wheek wheek, Eddie

Hey Eddie, at least you're not a member of the Bum Bath Club!

Very true! Tofu is not very enthusiastic about being a member either šŸ˜…

I love to see the pigtures and updates. The piggies are adorable :luv:

Thank you ā¤ļø they’re very sweet. Watching them brings me hours of entertainment haha

I’ve caught Eddie napping more the last few days. He usually scurries into hiding when he sees me, but he’s starting to settle, especially when Tofu is nearby

He is a good teacher :))

He is! Eddie tries his best to learn, though he is not yet big enough to flatten the roofs with his own weight, so he has to wait for Tofu to climb up first šŸ˜‚

I had a bit of a cuddle with Eddie this morning. He’s a curious little chap and seems quite content to let me check him over as long as I keep food within reach! Got a pic of his tummy to show off all his colours
