Meet Edamame šŸ˜

Mischievous Master Boris obviously wants to be in that club!View attachment 272761
Hello Mischievous Master Boris! Will you teach me your best tricks if I start a Diabolical Piggies group? Uncle Tofu is very boring and never causes mischief. I want to build on my troublemaking reputation that my slave says I’m earning. Here I am challenging Uncle Tofu to a chin-off even when I’m too small to take over to show how serious I am. Wheeks Edamame

Dear Edamame,
I would be delighted to be a role model for any youngsters wanting to learn the arts of being Mischievous but lovable. The first lesson is to perfect the innocent look, I think both you and Pino have already perfected this.
My boring companion Sir George is far too Dignified to join in with my shenanigans so partners in crime are very welcome.
Rumbles,
Mischievous Master Boris

Dear Eddy and Boris

What a brilliant idea to have a Diabolical Piggies Group. I approve and would like to become a Member - for observation purposes only you understand.

Your friend in a crisis

Eddie you are a very pretty guinea pig, lovely colours, and that one white front paw! But I think you should be a little bit nicer to your Uncle Tofu. Even teens or pre-teens should respect their elders. I also think Tofu was correct in saying: No Stripey Nose Club for you. Because those little white bits between your ears and on your chin - they don't seem to be joining, sadly enough. I know you're in a new club which your Uncle Tofu is too polite and calm to join, so maybe the Stripey Nose Club no longer seems so desirable?

I listened to you and decided to give Tofu a break tonight. He is a good uncle as much as he doesn’t let me enact my true mischief as often as I’d like. He lets me steal all the veggies from his mouth that I want! So I decided to let him have first go at our hay cookies today (and I goaded him into bar biting so we got the cookies even faster than slave planned 😈 I should tell on him to the boring Dignified club)

I will let Tofu keep his stripey nose club. I am enjoying being part of the non-stripey nose club and the diabolical piggies club, which are MUCH more interesting anyway

Wheeks and zoomies, Edamame

Dear Edamame,

That's wonderful to hear. What a good, generous boy you are!
Very clever of you too to get your uncle Tofu to do the bar-biting work for you. If you tell on him to the Dignified Club, he might not do the bar-biting for you anymore, so that's maybe something to consider?

I would have caved and given the critical care as well.
He knows his power…

Very good point! Ed will have to restrain himself (he doesn’t really want to get Tofu in trouble anyway, he’s secretly very fond of him - the number of times he sidles up for a joint nap 🄰)

Hello Edamame,

What a big boy you are! I laughed out loud with joy at seeing the difference between May and July. In the first July pigture it looks to me as if you have a white šŸ¦‹ on your nose. That's much more exclusive than a stripey nose!

Have a nice day!
Aw it is a bit like a butterfly! He says thank you very much šŸ˜

What are you feeding him? :yikes::love:
It’s all the critical care he steals from Tofu šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I hope Tofu gets on ok at the Vets and they can find out what’s going on
He’s a lovely piggy ā¤ļø

Tofu did well at the vets šŸ˜ he’s on some Emeprid for a week to see if that helps clear things up

Eddie also won himself an exam because he did a BIG dramatic squeak on the way and I thought he might have injured himself. He didn’t, but the vet very much enjoyed giving him a cuddle!

Tofu is getting the hang of his syringe feed - though I still have to take him out of the cage so Ed doesn’t riot šŸ˜…

Best wishes to Tofu for further recovery!

Edamame, what a character! Did he enjoy the cuddle as much as the vet? Possibly not.

Edamame tolerated the cuddle alright, but he was not quite as enthusiastic about it as the vet was šŸ˜‚
Oh what a beautiful photograph of Tofu in your arms. He really is a lovely looking boar.
Thank you 🄰 he’s a sweetheart. You’d never know it now, but for the first year I had him he was so timid he’d barely come out into the open to take food. I treasure how relaxed he is these days

He’s holding his weight okay, and I do think he’s a little better on the Emeprid. Eddie is giving him lots of entertainment with zoomies and popcorns. How am I supposed to say no to them when they’re this cute šŸ˜‚

No one tell Eddie, but the boys are off on a trip tomorrow so that he can visit the plum fairy

We've been planning to neuter him since we adopted him, for future bonding purposes - I don't fancy my chances bonding a teen boy, especially one with Eddie's attitude šŸ˜… not that we'll need to worry about that for a while, I hope!

We're going to use the rescue vet as they're very experienced, which means the boys are both going back to the rescue for a week so they can manage all the post-op care. I am anxious (of course!) but the rescue lady is great with piggies. She knows Tofu's been under the weather and is going to keep an eye on his weight and continue with the syringe feeding

Tofu does seem to have perked up on the emeprid, he's eating more for himself, so I'm hopeful it was just a blip šŸ¤ž if he's still poorly when they come back, it'll be back to our vet for a scan

Eddie has no idea what's happening šŸ˜…
