My boar Mochi, of almost 5 years of age, had moist eyes that seemed to be tearful. Upon brushing my finger against his eyes, some watery clear discharge (tears?) transferred onto my hands. I've seen his eyes look moist before but usually the discharge doesn't transfer onto my hands.
Currently it's pretty cold and windy where I live, so my partner suggested that might be what triggered the moist eyes. But I'm a bit worried because of his old age. Is there any need for concern? He seems healthy otherwise.

Is it one eye or both?

Watery eyes (with clear fluid) can be a sign of irritation in the eye.
Yellow fluid can be a sign of infection.
White fluid can be normal cleaning fluid.

We can only suggest you see a vet to get them checked if you are concerned

Hello! Sorry for getting back late! It's just one eye and it's clear fluid. It was due to the wind so we closed the windows for the time being! Thank you!
