My Gorgeous boy Fred is off to the vets tomorrow.

Well Ive got to say you noticed even before he had weigh loss .... which is totally amazing .... he's a very lucky boy and once his teeth are sorted on Monday it will make all the difference... he'll be home Monday night expecting ALL his favourites ......lol

And the morale of the story for some of the rest of us (which sadly includes me) ..... and which luckily you already did....was

weigh your piggys every week ..... :)

I know I for one am going to weigh more regularly....ie weekly...as I was more of a random (2-3 wkly) weigher ...:red

Only just caught up on this thread, sending lots of healing vibes for the gorgeous Fred, he sounds to be in very good hands!:) x
 
Just got in and jumped straight on to the computer, I've been thinking about Fred all day.
So glad you got there ok and you know what the problem is. Naughty Fred being too much of a wriggle bum to have his teeth done. I don't blame him though, it's not nice going to the dentist as a human and you understand what's going on.

Nope not OCD........i had that with Duke! i weighed so many times a day i got totally paranoid BUT it did teach me about wee times and eating times...........like you've learnt :)
It is so worth weighing weekly and if you notice something amiss......do it daily and see if you can pickup a pattern

Fred whee send you loads more wheeeeeeeeeeky loves from us girls and mummy says you're one handsome boy and she wishes you all the best too

Yes I noticed a downward pattern with Fred. Infact hes lost more weight again today, so I gave him some mush (Critical Care) see if he could eat that better.

When he eats you can hear the teeth grinding together, its a horrid noise really attacks my teeth!

Fred wasn't a fan of the mush.. But someone else was!

Good girl Wilma, you are a sneeky one, pretending to eat Freds food so that he will eat it himself, like he's suposed to. What a loving wife you are.

He's being sedated tomorrow, and having his teeth done :). Then he will be back to normal.

He's fine just now just struggling a bit, nothing that my vet can't fix :)! xx
 
fred is totally gorg, and you are clearly mad about him,sending huge hugs and best wishes for monday .Am sure he will be fine .Half the battle is having a good vets .We have a fab vet ,have to travel nearly an hour to get to him but its so worth itx>>

I know that feeling I get a bus, train and Taxi to mine :)). Takes 1 hour - 1hour and 20 minutes depending how good I am at timing the connections!

Love him, my pigs can't go to just any vet! They have to see Glen! :))

Check list:

Note stating Fred's Favourite foods.
Favourite foods packed.
Carrier made up with hay, snuggles and some pellets.

To do in the morning:

Water Bottle.
Pigs.

Wishing my boy all the vibes in the world, for a speedy recovery. Hopefully tomorrow night will be a better night for him! xx

Thanks Alex, Onroute just now.

Woke up thinking Oh MY! My alarm hasn't went off ran to my phone the time was 4.59 am my alarm was set for 5am so that was a huge relief. Pigs all fed and packed up just doing the last part of the journey.

Fred has a note to tell the vet what his favourite foods are. :))
 
Fred has had his teeth done, he wasn't knocked out to have them done he was sedated until he was alot more chilled. He is already running around, so I just have to complete the rest of the 0mission now my boy has completed his and that is to get to the vets because they close :)).

Picking my boy and Wilma up at 6.40 :).. Wish time would speed up! x
