Hello friends! Usually my cousin will clip my piggies nails (She works in a vet and has always clipped the nails of animals either we have owned), I noticed that she doesn't clip Beemo's nails much, she told me that the white in his nails where his nerves are is longer than usual so she can't cut them too much or else she risks hurting him/him bleeding. I might be a bit wrong about what she said as it's been a month or so since she told me. I was wondering if there's anything I can do for him? His nails don't seem to pose too much of an issue as they aren't sharp and he's never hurt himself, me, my family/friends or the other piggies but I'm just wondering if there's something anyone might be able to recommend in addition to his nail trimming that might help?

I have attached an image of him where you can see his nails. I am unsure why his nails curl, as I've posted before he is 2 years old and I adopted him almost 4 months ago and when I got him his nails were already curled and when they grow they grow curled. his current length is normally the length they get to before they get trimmed (being trimmed tomorrow) and his trimmed length honestly isn't a huge different.

But if anyone knows anything that could help us out I would appreciate it a lot. Like you all, I want nothing for the best for my piggies :)

Thanks!

- Rin

As piggies get older, their nails DK have a tendency to curl. Just trim as you see fit. Luckily your piggy has white nails which makes it easier to see the quick.
