Guineapighelp-
New Born Pup
Hello, I have had my guinea pig for 3 and a half years. It is quite hard for me to find a vet in my area that specializes in small animals like guinea pigs that is why I am writing here for help to determine if i should be concerned. This morning while clipping nails I found a lump on my guinea pigs leg. It looks almost like a wart. She is eating normally and drinking like usually. It doesnt hurt her When I touch it. What could this be? I am going to add a picture.
The lump could be a sebaceous cyst, particularly if it is small and quite hard. Is it soft or moveable at all? Only a vet can tell for sure, it doesn't need to be a specialist vet for diagnosing this kind of thing. I should think lumps on the skin are very similar in most small animals, so any vet with training in small animal medicine ought to be able to work out what it is. I hope you can find a vet who will see her x
