Hi,

We have decided to fill the base of our large pen with hay and the Guineas seem to much more enjoy it. However we are currently buying Timothy hay with dandelion from P@H for £6.50 for 1kg.

Obviously it's not as fresh as we'd like nor cost effective to be binning so much.

Would anyone know of anywhere near me where I could get much larger quantities of fresher, good quality Timothy hay? I live in Stanley, Co Durham, U.K.

Thanks

Are you happy to buy online? I have tried this site recommended by other members on here and the hay has been great

Dust Free Hay

I have also had the Ings from Hay and Straw which, when it is good, is really lovely. But we have not had consistent quality.

Also maybe think about using meadow hay as bedding as it is softer and cheaper? You can still give them the Timothy as well but in smaller quantities in a tray or bag?

Thanks for the replies!

I have considered online but want to make sure I know what I am buying. That's a great idea, I think I'll have a look Into the meadow hay.
