Hi
Yes, Ozzy has now made his journey across the Bridge and has reached the other side. They are lovely texts.
The moment when it finally fully hits you that the loss is real and reality is one of the worst moments; it often takes a few days to fully sink in.
You are still very much running on adrenaline so everything is heightened. Just brace for when the adrenaline finally runs out and you get the hangover blues. You may find that a physical activity can help with working your strong feelings and the chemical build up in the body out.
Think about a constructive activity you can do then - making a photo folder of the best of Ozzy and perhaps choosing a picture you can hang above the cage so Ozzy can still watch over Bruno and his new mates and be with you all?
Any stronger physical activity that triggers your endorphines and dopamines can also help with this, from walking/jogging, dancing, gardening to some vigorous house cleaning etc. can help. I find that going outside on as many days as possible helps helps me with both my body and my mental wellbeing once the happiness hormones kick in.
PS: It sounds like a very happy bonding indeed. No, Raven is not in season; that is just dominance rumbling. Just a polite but very clear reminder for Bruno as to who is in charge now, as is any nipping. They are still very much in group establishment stage when dominance is a bit more pronounced. A strong season is something else.
