Pebble is off to the vets

Some more positives so far today.

He was asleep today. It’s the first time he has actually led down to rest for at least a week.

He ate 25! Yes 25 veggie sticks AND 4 pea flakes after his syringe feed this morning.

So the big question is WHY CANT YOU EAT HAY 🤯

I’m sleeping on the sofa and giving him a 2 am feed.

Hi good news that he’s munching ! Hopefully he will be hay munching very soon - I tempted Stan by adding a little oat hay in to his mix of hays but I know it’s a struggle xx fingers crossed he starts the munchies soon

You just be exhausted xx

Thank you. Yes I was hoping it would be a quick fix. At least he’s eating a small portion of veggies on his own.

He’s still making the funny mouth movements like foods getting stuck. Did your dental piggies do this too.
Yes, Joe looked like a goldfish for maybe 5-6 days. Looked like he had very swollen lips. After his last dental he was so stressed out he didn't acctually eat hay at all by his own for nearly two weeks. It can take some time for them to get used to their "new mouth".

Ok. Thanks. I was worried they hadn’t actually fixed the problem as he was still making the funny faces. That’s very reassuring.

Well all day yesterday he was really fighting the syringe. I got about 50ml in as opposed to 70ml the days before. I get up at 2am and can only get 1ml in! I think he’s cottoned on that he can get veggie sticks on my lap now and is on strike with the critical care.

He’s dropped 25g overnight. 🤦🏻‍♀️. Not surprised.

Anyway he’s quite bright and chasing Patrick a bit more now.

I have put him in solitary confinement to eat his veggies this morning. He ate them and then 4 pea flakes and then I sprinkled his tablespoon of nuggets in. He’s munching on them too.

I’ve also put a dish of critical care in there to see if he will take it voluntarily 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m feeling a bit disheartened this morning.

And the lump I found by his grease gland has gotten bigger. Urgh. I didn’t want to deal with that too.

It’s so frustrating. If only I could talk piggy and tell him off and explain I am trying to help him.

Here is the bad boy happily munching on his nummies.

I said the same just a couple of days ago about wishing they could understand I'm only trying to help them and wishing I could explain in fluent guinea that it's for their benefit 🥰

Hope the banana helps.

Can we get different flavours of CC in the UK? Or is it just a case of mixing stuff, like banana, in it to change the taste?
Hoping Pebbles is just bored of the same flavour and the change of taste will help. Come on Pebbles!

You're doing an amazing job of trying to get him to eat enough. It's soul destroying when they won't eat. I hope he turns a corner soon and decides he wants to eat some hay all by himself.

What kind of syringe do you use? Kongo wants the big 15ml with a slighty bigger tip, but he has a mouth like a horse I think. Joe, Djingis and Pikachu all wanted the small 1ml without a tip.
Does Pebble get pellets? Soak some in hot water and then mix it with cc. Press some water from a cucumber, watermelon, Apple or something other that smells and tastes intresting in it. Joe and Djingis was a pain to syringe, and for every 3ml they got a piece of basil. Kongo loves critical care, but if I mix it with some Protexin bio-lapis its like christmas.

After all my time syringing different pigs I've learned they really have demands. Kongo likes it crunchy, Joe and Djingis wanted a watery soup and Pikachu wanted it just a little watery. I'm the King in my own world... 😅

Thank you.

He likes the big syringe too.

Piggy burrito and husbands help and we managed Tom get in 14ml. I’m happy with that. He’s back in jail eating his veggies now.
Such a cute face - well done Pebble Mummy and Daddy slave will use the big syringe from now on 😂
