It can be really hard to get them to eat hay again after they have been ill. I can imagine a problem with teeth would be worse although I wouldn't leave it much longer before checking back with the vet, I wonder if they have missed or a spur a little bit that is rubbing the cheek.
It's been really hard getting Timmy to eat hay again after whatever (still not sure exactly what) went on before Christmas. We have 5 different hays which I am mixing up for him, Ings seems to be popular along with soft Timothy. I sprinkle dried forage into the hay which does create extra interest. Timmy is holding his much lower than normal weight, Freddie has gained 100gms which he really didn't need!
