I have two girls, an american (Nymeria) and a peruvian (Bubbles).
Nymeria loves it when I pet her and I when I rub her cheeks in both directions. I some times fluff her fur in the other direction, just around the head and she doesn't seem to mind it and is relaxed. I read that it is bad to do that but she never seems to mind it. Is it really bad? Her fur isn't stiff and doesn't look like it hurts at all.
Bubbles purrs when her fur is being touched in either direction. She seems to enjoy it and stops instead of running away. She has two different types of purr, one is long and she does it when I touch her, the other is short and she does it when she hears a loud noise.
I never thought she didn't enjoy it. They both seem to enjoy the way that I pet them but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong.
 
It sounds just fine. With my piggies, they all would be very upset if I petted their fur the wrong way, that's probably why you heard not too. To me and my piggies its like taboo. :blink: I wouldn't dare. But all piggies have their own preferences, and yours seem to enjoy it, plus you are being very gentle about it. They would let you know if they didn't like it, or if in any pain, and would move away.

I love the names! Have you posted pictures before? May I see?

Your Bubbles reminds me of my Rainbow piggy Gizmo. Have no photos of my Rainbow piggies Lenny and I
Gizmo as they were on my old laptop which was taken in a burglary a few years ago. So it's lovely to see a piggy that looks similar!
 
Both such gorgeous ladies! :wub: I love Nymeria's lil different colored toes.
 
Oh my :yikes: @Betsy! I'm so sorry, you must have been so devastated! To lose photos of a passed piggy...:hug:

It is so sad, and so frustrating! :rant: Hopefully you didn't lose much more, but if your like me, I'm quite the bookmarker of websites, I'd lose so much if mine got stolen or died. :whistle: But pictures are just not replaceable. :(
