Alright! Here's the second annual unofficial pigture contest!
This time there's a theme...
Piggy Friends!
Enter your cutest photo of your pigs cuddling, playing or snoozing together (or anything else together XD ) or maybe you are your piggies best friend, selfies always welcome ;) other animals with your pigs are welcome to, but don't freak your little guys out by putting them with an animal they don't know just to get a picture!

You probably know how this goes by now, but here's an example anyway.

Name: Joey
Species: Aby Guinea Pig
Gender: Male
About Joey: Joey just adores his bunny "sisters" when they have play time in the yard together. In fact, sometimes I think he's more bunny than pig!

Name: Layla
Species: Dutch/Rex Rabbit
Gender: Female
About Layla: Layla's about the sweetest bun you'll ever meet. She's extreamly friendly (when she's not eating your shoes) and learns tricks very quickly. Her favorite friend his her little "brother" Joey :)
 
Name: Isobel (Issy for short)
Species: white long hair cross guinea pig
Gender: female
About Issy: Isobel is a timid little lady. She always looks surprised by her own wheeks and looks petrified if you look at her while she's eating. She is extra special as she has an extra toe on one of her back feet.

Name: Bumble
Species: ginger and white abysinnian guinea pig
Gender: female
About Bumble: my late Bumble was a bit of a special but backwards girl. Confident at times but most of the time just froze for no reason. She would not eat any food while you were watching except cucumber and you could see in her eyes that she hated herself for giving in. She was one of my first pigs and passed away October 2015 shortly after a diagnosis of chronic arthritis and renal failure

Name: Fudge
Breed: White and tan smooth
About: fudge is 7 years 9 months old and has been with me for around 4 years. She is super submissive and sadly falls victim to bullying from any pig she meets.. Bar her current companion. She Has a terminal illness but has the biggest zest for life I have ever seen...She is ridiculously special to me! Loves blueberries, kisses and warm blankets.

Name: Crunchie
Breed: Ginger abssynian
About: Crunchie is 5 years 8 months old, has been with me for around 4.5 years and is a typical aby.. Fiesty, dominant and full of attitude! She won't accept any new friends due to her ridiculously strong personality but she is the perfect partner for fudge.. Where she would normally fly kick anyone who touched her veggies, she will give fudge a gentle nudge as if to say "cmon now, behave!" She ignores fudge when she pushes her luck and rumbles.. She knows she has no chance at taking over top spot! Crunchie loves anything leafy.. And thinks the centre of a cucumber is poison. She prefers to lay pancaked on a flat lap with no blankets, and likes to spread they hay across the vetbed by using er head to push it onto her back then running until it falls off at the other end of the cage.. Then repeats the process!

Name: Rowan
Breed: white, lilac and ginger smooth
About: Rowan is 8 months old and a little sweetheart. She was abandoned at around 12 weeks with the words "the kids don't like it" weighing a terrifying 200g. By 16 weeks she was 650g! She is the popcorn princess, despises fruit but loves cucumber!

Name: Poppet
Breed: smooth brown and white agouti
About: Poppet is 1 year old and was from a bad situation where she arrived severely underweight at around 12 weeks old with ringworm. She is the most terrified pig I have ever met, even now 9 months on. She has come a long way but still not anywhere near as tame as your standard pet, and I doubt she ever will be. Her favourite food is coriander and cucumber and she likes sleeping in the hood of my onesie at cuddle time- it makes her feel safe and let's her relax.

Name: Cookie (left)
Breed: Short Haired
About: Cookie left us for the Rainbow Bridge in 2015. She and her sister (treacle) were our first rescue pigs. She was very cheeky, loved her chin rubs. She enjoyed eating her tea sitting on the sofa between us when she developed dental issues. I still miss her very much. She once led a break out of pigs from their indoor run :) She was full of mischief

Name: Treacle (right)
Breed: Short Haired
About: Treacle or Treacy-Bum was very gentle and loving. She was the queen of chooken legs and could often be seen with both back legs sticking out while lying eating in the food bowl. She used to lie on my chest while I was lying down eating hay, she had the most adorable eyes and loved her sister Cookie so much until we lost her to cancer in 2013.

My favourite photo of them above and is the sight we were greeted with every teatime

Species: Smooth haired guinea pig
Gender: Male
About George: Gorgeous George is one of my oldest piggies, and the new little boys spend some time with him and Fred being fostered and learning the ropes, ready for life as part of my extensive guinea pig family.

Name: Monty
Species: Crested guinea pig (Not that you can tell in this photo- it wasn't very well developed as a baby!)
Gender: Male
About Monty: Monty is now about 3 years old, but in this photo he had just finished quarantine and was being introduced to uncle George. He lives with Humphrey and has the biggest butt-to-body ratio that I have ever seen on a pig!

Name: Crunchie
Species: White and buff Aby X guinea pig
Gender: Female
About: Crunchie was one of the first piggies to join our family along with her sister Coco. She was very sassy and definitely the boss, at the same time she was very loving and would lie asleep with you for hours with her eyes closed. She died late last year and I still have trouble remembering that she's no longer there to greet me in the morning.

Name: Coco
Species: Tortie and white Aby X guinea pig
Gender: Female
About Coco: Coco is Crunchies sister from the same litter, but they were chalk and cheese! Not only does she show very little evidence of her Aby heritage, she is the most docile piggy ever and she will let you do anything to her- though as you can see in this photo, she wasnt afraid of standing up to her sister! Right at this moment she is having surgery for a bladder stone!
 
Eeeek! Monty is so small compared to Fred!

And that's a beautiful pigture @sports_billy! Such pretty lighting.

Species: Abyssinian
Gender: male
About Patches: Patches is 1 year old. He the boss of my boys. He's always telling me what he feels there is never a moment where he is quite. He is part time ninja as he's always escaping his cage. There is never a moment when he not showing of his ninja moves. He's favorite food is carrots.

Name: Oreo
Species: Crested
Gender: male
About Oreo: Oreo is 1 year old. Life is never a dull moment with oreo as he is very wishy washy about what he wants. He favorite food tomatoes. He has beautiful ruby eyes. Above his eyes he has white on the tip of his crown I call that his unibrow.

Species: Unknown (mostly black)
Gender: Female
Coco is 5 months old and is very naughty and the instigator of all cage shinanigans, currently she has just redecorated the cage by relocating the brown paper bag I added to the cage to in front of their bendy log hidey ( so very sorry for my mistake your highness). She is queen of the hideys and may only enter on her approval or if she is in a sharing mood (or if Patchy removes by force with much rumbling). She is very anti social and loves coriander.


Name: Patchy
Species: Unknown (patchy)
Gender: Female

Patchy is also 5 months old and is very petite compared to her much larger sister Coco. Her fur color is very patchy which is where she got her name from. I am sometimes asked if I have three piggies because Patchy has one side of her face ginger and the other side black so depending what side she is facing can look like two totally different guinea pigs. She is the more laid back of the two and more sociable although doesnt tolerate her sisters diva like behaviour with the hideys) She is nick named "the pellet pig" because she loves her pellets and just food in general and will try to eat her share of the food and Coco's aswell.

Photo was taken four months ago when we first got them. They can not have lap time together anymore because they fight (this being Coco's fault because she cant keep herself to herself).
 
Are we allowed to use a picture with more than two guinea pigs?

This is Tiggie, Bumblebee and Beau

Tiggie=tricolour shelti on the left. Tiggie sleeps all day, she also loves being pampered and having her hair brushed

Beau=black and white aby/Ridgeback in the middle. Beau is so curious and loves running around.

Bumblebee= the tricolour Peruvian on the right. Bumble bee is the queen of the cage, she is the boss of everyone, getting first dibs on food, sleeping areas and treats.
 
Sorry about the filter I tried to find the original one but it's on my old (dead) phone. I love this pic of me and my little guy though so had to add anyway hope you don't mind.

Breed:Agouti x rex and possibly abbyssian (excuse rubbish spelling)
Gender:Male
About Mo: Mo is one big piggy with a tremendous appetite! If he wants feeding at midnight then he WANTS feeding haha. He loves his veges and his homemade hammock which he proceeds to roll in like a cat despite him outgrowing it ages ago. He can have quite the attitude as he's going through that awkward teenage stage but he has a heart of gold and gives the best kisses!

Name: Googly
Species:(the black and white one)(unknown but definitely crossbreed and half abysinnian:)
Gender: male


About: Butterball and Googly are so close. Googly isn't allowed outdoors so much anymore as he always escapes the run and has fallen out with all the other boys. Butterball always stays in his hutch with him on days when he isn't allowed outside and they will do anything for each other

Species: Soft and fluffy!
Gender: Male
About: Ollie is a little pocket rocket that's never sitting still. He seems to be the leader of the group (grudgingly) and if anything happens you just know that somehow Ollie was involved in it!

Name: Percival (Percy)
Species: American
Gender: Male
About: Percy is my special pig. We thought he was mute for a long, long time until one day he got so comfy he squeaked (rather hoarsely!) Percy loves nothing more than flaking out in a hay tray and pulling silly faces whenever he sees a camera.

Name: Remus (Remy)
Species: Coronet Cross
Gender: Male
About: Remy is the shy guy in the group. The underpig. He's also the noisiest come laptime and will purr-squeak the entire time. He's always last to the food and absolutely refuses to eat anything unless someone else has tried it first.

Name: Albus (Albie)
Species: American
Gender: Male
About: Albie is the original pig of the group. He's very much a people pig, and will lay on you for hours if you let him. Snuggling up under someone's chin is his favourite place to be. He lets you know the food has run out by jingling the water bottle non-stop until you come and fix it.

Species: smooth coat? (Not sure)
Gender: male
Basil is 6 months old and is extremely vocal! His super greedy and nothing stands in the way of basil and his food!

Name: Don
Species: teddy (cross I think)
Gender: male

Hello we are chewie and nibbles, we are about 8ish months. Chewie (dark one) is a crested I think, he is a sweet natured boy who loves all vegetables and cuddles especially tummy tickles. Nibbles is a ridgeback possibly? He is the boss and likes to show his dominance! That said they are best pals and do like to snuggle together.

So sorry I haven't been on lately, I had to put one of my bunnies down a few days ago and I have been in search of a puppy. :)

Everyone's pigs are adorable! And super cute @Jesse's pigs!

@Chewie&nibbles beautiful artistic photo! Black and white are my specialty too ;)
 
@WafflesCupcakes thank you for the mention-I'm so glad I could participate in this competition too bad it wasn't done next month as that is when Mo is hopefully getting his long awaited brother! :nod: I'm so sorry about your bunny but I'm sure they had the best life possible with you and are at peace with all of the pets we've lost xx as for the puppy- such exciting news! My dog still thinks she is a puppy to this day. Good luck searching for your new furbabies and cannot wait to see what piggy has won this time round. Good luck everyone!

Awwwww! How adorable! Molly is a beauty. Yes it was pretty hard letting Sophie (the bunny) go, but at least she's not in pain anymore.

And I am very excited for the upcoming puppy :D I've never owned a dog before so... that shall sure be an adventure. I'm looking at German shepherd golden retriever mixes and Bernese mountain dogs ;)

and there will defiantly be a contest next month so I can't wait to see your new piggy!
 
Omg I absolutely love German sheperd dogs!:love: They're a stunning breed- though obviously all dogs are! Haha. Thank you Molly is a one of kind:tu: and I'm very much looking forward to another competition- rather enjoying seeing all the other entrants and Mo loves posing so it's win win :)

My two little babies <3

Bramble - the brown and black piggie, she's a very peculiar one! She has such a personality but will follow her sister around no matter what! Wherever she goes, Bramble will be! Though she is a cheeky one, no matter how quick her sister tries to be, Bramble will always steal that pepper from her mouth :o

Willow - the black, white and cream, now she's full of different characters! One minute she's frozen nervous, next she's peering over the cage, popcorning around, sitting on top of items meant to me slept inside of! She's a tentative piggie but so brave at the same time!

They're both around 9 weeks, and I purchased that piggie dig recently and they got it today! They love running on top and using it to eat their hay together on top of the dig, but I wandered in earlier to find the two of them sleeping, snuggled tightly together! Ahhh, I love them :D

Yoshi has been with me for about 4 years now
Ever since he was a little baby piggie he just loved my pink fleece blanket that I kept on a chair, he just jumps to it
So I form a little place on the chair for him to cuddle up and nap while I sit and browse the Web, he's always so calm and sweet

I am soooo sorry I haven't been online lately, and I'm late to announcing the winners, but I am very ill at the time being and am usually at doctors. Hopefully I will be back on soon though!

About: She passed away a couple of days ago but she was a gorgeous pig that loved head rubs! She was a quite pig and never once called for food but you could still tell by her popcorning and cage laps that she wanted it!

Name: Pippa
Species: Short hair (brown with light stripes)
Gender: Female (Sow)
About: Pippa is a very loud pig. She will call when she hears food and will jump up on the side of her cage to receive it. She is also very loud when it comes to being picked up. She is as tame as can be when she's in her cage but if you try to get her out, she will scream! xD
 
Thank you so much and well done to everyone else-some of the pictures you took left me wondering how you got your piggies to stay still! Well done to @sport_billy. :)
