Aww, what a lovely story! And what an amazing little piggy! She is gorgeous - here's hoping she continues to put weight on, little sweetie! x) She's so clever to come and find you when she wants her dinner, aw!

Just had to update you all on Pops! Yesterday she started drinking from the water bottle again - she hasn't done so for about five months, and today she started eating a little grass and hay! I'm so hoping this is the turning point! Her weight is now at the highest it's been since August too!

She's such a little darling! She still comes to find me when she needs feeding and even tried climbing the stairs the other day!

I couldn't believe my eyes this morning. I didn't dare go too close to the cage either because when she sees me she is straight up at the bars looking for syringe food. Just seeing her show an interest in grass and hay is so amazing.

She is a remarkable little girl. She's been through so much, but nothing puts her off. As soon as she sees i've got food, she's out of her cage and standing next to me. I eat my meals sat on the floor, one mouthful for me and then one for her.

What a lovely piggy. It sounds as though she has completely stolen your heart.

Super news - and I've got this lovely image in my mind, of you both sharing a carrot on the floor!

I'm so chuffed xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>
and so dam proud of my little girl x)x)x)x)
Mummy Glynis is doing a DANCE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry Pops hope i've not embarassed you .....

What a wonderful story - hope it continues to get better.
What an amazing bond you have together and how lucky you are to have each other. It brought a tear to my eye reading about her struggle and now her improvement :<>.

And WOW what a complete cutie she is x>>

With all the special mummies she has (and Uncle Simon of course) she can't fail to do well, keep us posted

Jacquie xx

I think i should explain............quite a while ago Debbie was having a really hard time with Poppet (aka Pops) and i tried to help and since then well i've become her other mummy so i'm Mummy Glynis x)
She's had awful toofie problems and cause i was going thru it with Duke i could help Debbie and Pops, we spoke daily about the trials and tribulations and down side of the toofie trims etc............ how they reacted how they fed.........so i pretty well got to know how Pops was feeling.........
So yeah i'm her other Mummy and i'm super proud to say it x)x)x)

Awwww that's so nice :) Lucky Pops :)
Every piggy should have a Glynis mummy :)

Debbie, I'm delighted with Pops' progress recently. You have done a super job, and she is a real character.

But did she manage to be all nice and clean to see Uncle Simon finally? Poor girl... I still laugh thinking about her trying so hard to impress him and finding she had food all up her legs.

Thankyou very much for telling us about Pops. Sending her best wishes and happy eating for the future from myself and my piggies,

Sarah

Yes, she finally did it! Last night she looked absolutely gorgeous for him! Feet all clean and no food around mouth. He noticed straight away too! He's such a gentleman!

She sounds such a delightful character & is so lucky to have you & you to have her.

Love reading these wonderful stories it shows how much the guineas are loved & how much they can love in return.

Keep eating for your mummy pops & stay looking good for Simon. My girls all send wheeks to you to continue your good work! :))

Pops is doing fantastically well. She now weighs 750g which is the highest she has weighed since her dental problems started.

She's also eating more and more on her own. She still loves her syringe food, but now only has about 6 mls and is full up so is obviously filling up more on other foods now.

Last weekend Pops and Skye came with me to visit Niki. Niki couldn't believe the change in her. Last time she saw Poppet she weighed under 600g.

She's still such a character though. She absolutely hates being shut up in her cage and would free range if she had the chance. When there is only me here, and no chance of anyone stepping on her, I do open the cage and let her come and go as she pleases. She can't understand why Skye can't get out of the cage too though! Skye isn't as adventurous as Pops and can't work out how to get over the side.

Fantastic update! Pops is such an inspirational piggie, and you an inspirational owner.

I love hearing about Pops, she is indeed very special! I just love adventurous piggies, Lennie was one and was virtually free range and used to sulk if I put him in his cage to give the others a turn :))

It sounds as though Lennie was just like Poppet! She really knows how to sulk if she's left in the cage. She's a real escape artist though and if there is any way out she can find it. She's got a dislocated toe from all her adventures and escapades!
