Recently one of my two guinea pigs (I can’t figure out which one) took a pee while out on a mat playing. I went to go wipe it up and noticed the colour is not normal compared to the normal colour of their pee. Does this look concerning? Should I speak to a vet or could it be something they potentially ate?

It's worth thinking about what they have been eating, some foods I have found to be quite noticeable on their pee, however at the same time if you haven't fed them anything different then I would see a vet naturally.

Hi! That is just strongly oxidised or coloured pee. It can be caused by veg like peppers, carrots or even lettuce.

Any blood in the urine doesn't mix and either dries as small red dots in an orange/rusty pee puddle or - if there is a lot - as red ring around a pee puddle in a different colour. ;)
