Hello, so my piggies have C&C cages and they have a separate kitchen which is where I keep their hay and pellet bowls. I normally put i scented pee pads and then put the carefresh bedding over it but sometimes it’s a lot to clean and also buying bedding every week. Is there any suggestions what else I could use instead of bedding. Obviously I want them to be comfy but they pee and poop a lot so lol

You could consider another type of bedding. Or a washable incontinence pad but that would need changing probably every day. Or newspapers but they’d also need changing every day.

Your alternative is to not have a kitchen area and just use fleece everywhere in the cage. Members who do this tend to have large shallow trays which hay is put into. You can also scatter feed pellets amongst the hay for enrichment (a lot of us don’t use bowls at all).

If you wish to have a kitchen area where a lot of the pee and poop is going to collect, then it is going to mean daily changing of the soiled disposable bedding.

Sourcing an alternative and cheaper bedding may also be an option.

This was one of my big concerns when I got by first pig. I have followed the wonderful masons cavies for a while now and she swears by Allure Bath Fashions . Perfect for soaking up mess and also can be used as a snuggly spot to rest because they're super soft on the feet! 😁

Link removed. They have an affiliate link to the products.
You can buy bath mats cheaper in local stores like B&M and Home Bargains Dunelm and IKEA.
