Dear Rosie and Lily

I understand that your Slave did the unthinkable while I was resting at Aunty Lilli's house. Did she think she'd get away with it just because I was on holiday? How very dare she run out of pea flakes! Doesn't she realise that pea flakes make life worthwhile? We get 3 pea flakes and 3 dried apple cubes before our forage every night when we are at home in Betsy Towers. Just as well she stocked up on them quickly but that still doesn't excuse her for running out in the first place. A black mark has been put against her name and I will be watching her VERY closely for any other misdemeanours.

Dear Miss Bramble, Shop Steward and Champion of the World,


A storm is rising. The pea flakes were but the first crack in the dam of tyranny. You are right to be watchful — for we have just received chilling intelligence: The Slave is leaving us. For days. FOR WORK. Apparently, feeding us, cleaning our palace, and adoring us is not considered “gainful employment.” Preposterous.

We shall be left in the care of the Auxiliary Slave, who means well but once mistook a cucumber for a courgette. Trust is… limited.

We are rallying the troops — Operation Hayquake is underway. We plan to stage loud protests, coordinated poops in inconvenient corners, and spontaneous bursts of zoomies at 3 a.m. A formal letter of complaint will be shredded before their very eyes.

We stand with you, Miss Bramble. Pea flakes are not a privilege — they are a right. Together, we will ensure that no pig is left snackless.

You're right to be annoyed that your Slave has the audacity to leave you. Fear not! Auxiliary Slaves are sometimes better than Main Slaves as they don't want to get it wrong (AS won't mistake courgette for cucumber again).

Your AS will adhere to the instructions left by MS and will most likely freelance it a bit too by giving you an extra bit of something yummy like a few more pea flakes or more herbs. Keep up the pressure on AS and look cute at all times and wheak loudly when being ignored.

Cheeky Rosie has always hovered around 1000g, but in her ripe age has decided to balloon up to 1300g! Way to go!

We have a scheduled check up for August to check on Rosie’s bladder. Lily’s excited, she loves it at the vets!

Probably about the only piggy who does. My Cutey Pie Dennis 🌈 was so scared of the vet that as soon as I put him down on the examination table, he took one look at the vet, did a swift 180, ran up my body to my shoulder and hid under my hair!

A statement from a victim (Rosie)

I would like to express my utter disbelief at how I was treated today. It was nail clipping day - a day I did not approve, nor was I consulted about. No amount of pouting or strategic cuteness could save me.

I resisted valiantly; I wriggled, I kicked, I even but the scissors (bravely, I might add). My efforts were not met with sympathy, but with laughter.

To add insult to injury, I was fat-shamed throughout the entire ordeal. “Chunky potato”, they said. “Little loaf”, they called me. Excuse me - I am not chubby. I am simply overflowing with love and personality.

After the injustice was done, sister Lily attempted to “comfort” me. According to her, it was basically a spa day with snacks. SPA DAY?! Clearly, she has been brainwashed.
