Glad to hear Chez is well and his tootsies are nicely trimmed.
Polos has zoomies. MS thought a beetle flew across the room and landed on the floor. Not a beetle 😄🫘 She has to decide whether to pick it up or glove up and pick it up but most likely will get her dust pan and brush it up and put it in the bin instead of dropping it into the cage. It's cold here again but we are still on the thin fleece. Time to get the noodle mats out again.
 
The boys will get a special treat of wheatgrass when I go to the store today. It's their weekly calcium treat.

I said, Miss, was Chesney bad for his nail trim.. she said he squeaked.

Honestly the vet didn't do much I don't do on the weekly health check. I'm not sure she felt his bladder. But it was only $35 as opposed to $90 at my exotic vet. But she was very nice and has guineas and a cat like I do. She seems to have heard of CBS and I'll bring in Stripe if he gets another ear infection.

Time for a protein drink.

Cucumber, Romaine, kale ❤️ MS is not allowed to buy other veg. Spinach saves her (and she likes it in her soup) but only baby spinach (for Truffle of course) Actually he is the one who can chew through wood. I prefer to eat and snooze. But coroplast beware of Polo 😬 Now grass, I don't think there is a guinea pig born who would say no to fresh grass 👌Lucky Djingis Kongo doesn't eat broccoli 🥦

My horror is that Djingis will discover that coroplast 😵 He is very good at bar biting. He prefers it before veggies! His all time high is still critical care from the syringe and its a very good way to bond with the little dude, so he gets some now and then (if Kongo lets him. Kongo loooooves the syringe!).

Lucky they like the syringe. I don't know what I'll do if Chez gets sick. Wrap him like a burrito? He's so wild.

I'm really blessed both boys accepts the 15ml syringe happily, and comes running like I offer them gold. Truly learned this syringethingy the hard way, and now I train all my boys to accept the syringe. Its so different from pig to pig. Joe needed a blankie and some comfort-basil, and a 1ml syringe without a tip. We have a big box with small syringes thanks to Joe. God bless Amazon!
 
Bob was often very nice to handle, until he saw a syringe. Joey poo mouth loved to lick his eyes with alot of affection, and Bob got a nasty eye infection. It was a struggle to give him meds, and it was alot of meds! We did a very tight burrito. Bob was a screamer and a kicker, so it was a very loud Belsebob-burrito and if Bob had access to this thread he would have give you long posts about his survival 😂 when he was better (and partly blinde, but we managed to save his eye!), I learned him to accept the syringe is a food source with alot of "milkshakes"; soaked pellets, watermelon, cucumber... It worked very well, but In happy I never had to give him any meds after that eye.

Yes, syringe training is well worth the effort in saved stress when things go wrong. A screaming basil eating Beelzebub 🥦 Aw, but they were so beautiful together ❤️

Yesterday I was cleaning cages and set chez's toy on top of Stripe's cage, and he was really looking at it so today I switched their toys and they both had ignored their own toys but after switching they are both tossing and chewing! I guess I gave them the wrong ones to begin with!

Chez now has a huge willow ball he's munching and Stripe is tossing around a little stick wreath.
 
Haha! They are both popcorning because of their toys.

I really misjudged that one but now that I recall Chez does like Willow balls
 
Mom set the alarm for 5:40 because she works at 9.

She doesn't want a long shift, but she agreed to stay 3 extra hours. She's hoping it goes fast! But she'll be out at 4.

She doesn't want to miss one popcorn.

She's thinking of buying the book Parable of the Sower. African American female author, dystopian science fiction.
 
We've been getting cuddle time after our morning clean (the playpen is smaller, so catching is easier. Truffle is selling out 😏 and does a token side step and waits to be picked up. He winges nervously, but once or twice has purred, which makes MS very happy 🥹 She pets us in our cages all the time. I never (ever) purr, but Truffle was purring away the other day and pancaking. MS was delighted 🫠 When she is too forward and moves too quick, we biff her hand away with our noses or popcorn off out of reach. A lot depends on what mood we are in ❤️

we have a very sad announcement to make. We are now divorced. Separated. Kongo lunged Djingis so bad Kongo went straight into a house wall and lost his tooth. Now slave can imagine how he lost the previous tooth. Lucky the old tooth is back, and lucky its the front tooth again and not the molars. Poor Djingis told Kongo he really do accept Kongo as a leader but Kongo just didnt stop the chasing and... BAM! The divider is up. Slave is so stressed because she was just heading to work when Kongo started this rumble. I'm so mad at him to be honest, mad and worried about his tooth and if he's in pain.
Male-slave is at home taking care of the boys. After Joey his a pro-syringe feeder so slave can stress down a bit.

Kongo f*cked it up again. This dude really have a record. This chasing and the end up is a bit scary to watch. Its like my Kongo has checked out and he's a soldier with license to kill. He's not that sweet and soft boy that I know. He did the very same number with Chip and Joe. Poor Djingis 💜

Stripe is sweet with humans but a jerk with pigs, like Kongo. Poor Djingis!

Just got home and the boys are wheeking. I think because they are happy to see me as they aren't begging.

Barrett had some gabapentin before my shift and did amazingly well.

I made my coworker cry when I asked how her hamster was. He died. My sister said "it's just a hamster."

If I know Kongo right, the only thing he will miss is that big cage. I think we just have to accept he wants his own space, I'm just sad he had to break another tooth and the stress that chasing must have been for both of them (mostly poor Djingis). Didnt have any staff this night at work, so I'm stuck here until tomorrow but maleslave send me a video of Kongo eating some hay and cucumber. Maleslave found a new hobby in syringefeeding this little fatty. Kongo has thanksgiving everyday when you talk about syringes! No fuzz like Joey! Djingis seems okay, very mad that divider is up and making a show. Happy he's fast, and in some ways I'm happy he's so fast Kongos tooth are in the house and not in Djingis...

Very much poor Djingis. Old pic, but that roof is up again. I dont trust him NOT to try to jump to Kongo! He says Chez is his new bestie, and Stripe and Kongo can have their bully-club together.

Oh no, its not "just a hamster" 🙁 poor co-worker. Pigs and hamsters might be small, but they can really rock your world and fill your heart with so much love. Its another kind of animal and another kind of taking care of than a dog or a cat ofc, but the love is just same. I miss the dogs, cats and pigs I lost just as much.

Callous sister. The feel of little paws on the palm of your hand is so lovely🥰 Little animals are great companions. Great to hear Barrett has dealt with your being away from home well ❤️🐈
